Gentlemen:
I have a 1983 cb650SC and one day I was running on a very very hot day.
I turned it off and let it cool in the shade. When I started it again in
less than a few minutes, I pulled the clutch lever all the way in and the
bike started and took off toward the garage wall, taking me
I would be very interested in seeing the factor manual

I have a cb650sc with the same issue. The stator doesn't turn on unless
the Field effect coil tells it that the battery needs to be charged... My
bike would only run for 12-15 minutes then I would have to charge the
battery again. If I was in the position where I had not replaced

I bought the rubber componets for three and they were like 7 bucks a
piece. DON'T swap out more that one at a time and test the signals after
each one. I shot gunned all three and then the blinkers stopped working. I
had a flaky ground and didn't know where to start. Just my two
Wow what an imagination, What no mention of the Russians getting Hllary's

According to the schematic the tank has a sending unit, I assume it has
just a variable resister in it that increase or decreases as the amount of
fuel is being used. That resistance is transmitted through to wires that go
through the harness. If you take a DVM ( Digital Volt Ohm Meter)

I have a CB650Sc and when I replaced the rubber arms holding the
blinkers they stopped working. The wires are color coded and I did not have
them wired incorrectly. Here is what I learned, the turning signals in the
back are one filament light bulbs that light only when you activate

Were did you get it? is it new? I just repaired the one I have and
put everything back together. So If it doesn't work or continues to fail I
will be in touch. Unless Kyle wanted it since his was melted.

Kyle - It appears that the little tangs that are breaking is due to the age
and vibration that they experienced over the 21k miles the bike drove. I
found a european dealer https://www.cmsnl.com/ which seems to be a better
source for parts. If I find a new one that would be a MAJOR
I had the same issue and found that where the fuses plug in the prongs
looked fine but were broken. I opened the box like in the picture and
tested continuity and found that there was none. When I tested for voltage
on the fuses I had 12 volts on top and bottom but when I opened the box up

free of any debris or deposits.

I purchased one for about 40 bucks so look around that one for 70 looks
right but you can find it for less. Also I found motorcycles aren't like
car's that relay can't take a lot of punishment -or so I found when I
burned one. Do short bursts of trying to start the bike not long ones like

I just finished reading that post and I don't know if I would go with
that cheap one. The one I found was an exact replacement and part number, I
will look to see where I bought it but it has been a while since I did so
let me look

I replaced my signal rubber arms and the exact thing happened.
Running lights on when I activate either right or left the lights go off
and don't blink. It turned out there was no power going to the turning
signal relay. I have a 1983 CB659Sc Nighthawk which is the same bike
Donny
The 83CB650SC has a signal relay with a Dark Green wire that is
Ground a Gray wire that goes through the switch to the Light Blub filaments
to ground when you activate the signal switch and a White/Green wire that
should have 12Volts when the bike is turned on with the Key. If
I agree, I also had the same issue. I also pulled it out with a needle
nose. I measured the length of the plastic screen since it had perished,
and found a replacement for like 15 bucks online that worked. I will look
for the part number and see if I can get it to you. Mine was for a 1983
I didn't think it was possible but the lengths on my 83 CB650SC aren't that
different. and I did it. It took some doing and then when I twisted the
throttle I realized I just wasted the last 35 minutes since I had to take
them off again and swap them around.

I have a 1983 CB650sc and when I replaced the signal indicator
stanchions the front lights would be on and when I turn the left or right
blinkers on they would go out and stay off. It confused me cause I just
replaced each blinker by unplugging it and its color coded so it all was
