It leads to the questions: what is your library's policy and what is the
reason for marking patrons inactive? I would tend to think the main reason
would be for accurate statistics -- so your patron count wouldn't be
inflated with accounts that have expired years ago.

The problem can be the policy, a policy that reflects certain
characteristics of the ILS. When the ILS changes, the policy doesn't and can
complicate things needlessly.

The other concept is a pre-scheduled report where the end-user merely
accesses the data, like the circulation reports for individual months. In
this type of report, the results are canned and can't be altered.

When it did/does occur, it is during the busiest times of the day not the
best time to be debugging.
As far as I can tell, these double charges are due to latency. User charges
an item, hits refresh, and charges it again. I associate the problem with
the refresh button.

triggering of holds, you will get unexpected consequences.
That doesn't mean you can't. Evergreen is based on the premise that the

You can use the Evergreen reports module to generate a list of TCNs in
Excel. Zap out the OCM and OCN in Excel (real easy). Then copy and paste the
TCNs into a text file and upload into OCLC. How does that sound?
