Cymbidium Soc. of American magazine, "CSR journal magazine".
Question; How much of its content is devoted to Paphiopedilums.
I am interested in ordering it but as I have never seen an issue, reason
for asking the question

live about 500 meters from the sea and usually get sea mists nightly ,
resulting in salt being deposited on the roof.
Would would the normal level of salt be in the water before becoming
toxic to orchids.

Supprising all agree the roots responed well to the extra ligh avaible due

years ago, potted out a flask of roths. The most precocious of the
seedlings bloomed 3 1/2 years later. Jum gave it the clonal
about 50 % humidity summer and winter (Give or take a bit on odd
days).
Above the Paphs I have several Nepenthes hybrids and species growing. All
grow like weeds.

Recently at a show I had my malipoense questioned on it being a species or
hybred bred plant by the one of two judges judgeing. (he would not judge
it).

Opps, it was suppose to be perlite, slip of the memory bank.
I have used vemiculite in seedling mixes over the years (Not orchids) so it
popped up first.
Perlite is far better to use but curious how it would hold up

A craze is going around the circuit at the moment were it is mixed 4 parts
Verm, to 1 part peat moss.
