This proves you should never overlook the simple things first. My sound card
just wasn't showing up in windows because I just didn't have it seeded
properly. I'm embarrassed to admit that. I did find other complex reasons why
this could happen however so naturally I thought it was one of them

WE're having an issue with the SBLive, where when we record using either
Gold wave or any other recorder, whatever is recorded ends up sounding like
the bass is all gone, and it's got a weird expanded stereo effect as if the
connection has a bad ground without the hum. This only occurs when

Sounds like a plug might not be inserted all the way. If you partially
pull out a stereo plug (especially the 1/8 in. mini type) you'll very

Like the subject says, I've got this Asus laptop, and I'm looking at
getting an external sound card, preferably USB that will allow me to,
among other things, use the what u hear, or stereo mix option so I
can record external devices like a tape deck

yes, cause you use dec talk access 32 window eyes in the if you tab you can
ajust the sound card you want to use and it will work unlike jaws where you
have to do an ini file change

Morey, I can offer my oppinion on your last question. I'm using a Turtle
Beach USB sound card with both Window-Eyes and Jaws on board. No problems
using it with speech or customizing any settings.
