The process was simple:
Backlighting using a home-made fluorescent light source.
Sigma 70 mm macro lens (which, I love, by the way). Raw.
Lovering the contrast a bit.
Conversion to BW and toning (in fact, the original tones were quite similar).
Sharpening for screen.

Here is a shot of a group of Robins and Cedar Waxwings that I shot

Thanks Larry but I am looking more at making a diffuser that I can use with
the built in popup flash. I will need to do some research on older flashes
that are safe to use with the K-R before I even consider getting an older

I wasn't going to post this, but since several of you pointed out that
Friday was Canada Day (thanks for noticing), I decided to do it. We
