Don't worry, Christine: the current update is for Lightroom CC2015.x/6.x ... If
you have the standalone license, it updates the standalone, otherwise it
updates the CC version.
Current revision is LR 6.10. Just updated yesterday. :-)

I have not yet moved to the CC version of Lightroom. Since LR6.0 I have
regularly updated, just went to 6.10 a few minutes ago. I have seen no negative
consequences of doing the upgrades.
Under the Lightroom Help menu, choose Updates and go from there. Easier than

The only paper feed issue that I've heard complaints about is the fact that the
manual feed on the P600 requires extra steps for each piece of paper loaded
("open the guide, insert the paper, press the load button, close the guide"
compared to "insert the paper through the guide and feed it in

Excellent to hear, Chris! Have you used the front loader for papers like
Velvet Fine Art or similar type of papers? Is the front loader fussy, or
pretty consistent?
Fun to hear the bw quality is excellent. I was able to get my office at work
repainted and a bit of an upgrade in office
