a 50mm lens new or used in Toronto, it's next to
impossible to get a decent prime telephoto either. If

I'll continue to keep the LX and MX in good repair because essentially they
are mechanical marvels with little in the way of electronics. I'm sure you
feel the same about your Leicas, etc. Digital
I have the Epson C80 - pigment inks for long-lasting prints but you have to the right
paper. Most matte papers work well, Ilford's Classic Pearl works well but will need a
printer profile, Epson's PGPP works well and their Professional Glossy Paper works
even better but has to be cut to size.
I don't know about shipping costs and duty to Canada, but Atlex.com sells the color
inks for $8.xx apiece and the black for $24.xx, about $50 for the 4 total. I
understand that there is a CIS system being developed for it hopefully due out early
2002 and that should save some money.

I have it and I like it. I have the second generation with 2 aspheric surfaces and non
rotating front - it is very sharp. The 1/2 life-size macro is good to have, too.
