I did buy the first version of a memory card reader for the ipod, back
in 2004. It is slow. It would completely drain the full ipod battery
when reading a full 2GB CF card. I used it only once for that
purpose...
I now use the ipod for picture backup when traveling, but I always
carry a laptop.

But Lightroom is definitely all that, and the new 2.0, with localized
edits, allowing you to do dodge burn, is fantastic. It's only
missing perspective correction to make Photoshop pretty much

The buffer on the *ist-D is actually larger than the buffer in any
subsequent Pentax DSLR until the release of the K10D. The data bus is
dog slow. You can actually shoot 6 raw images at about ~2.5 frames per
second with noise suppression turned off. Just don't expect the buffer
to clear for

I like both the BW and color versions. I think both
would be improved by cropping off the top 10% or so
(the busiest part of the sky). I agree with those who
have said that the cross is either not sharp enough or
too sharp; you could use some Gaussian blur in PS or
PE to make it fuzzier.
To add some balance to this discussion, the *istD is by far the best
built of all the Pentax DSLRs up to at least the K10D. But, yes, it
is slow.

To question 1, yes, you will not receive audio for digital TV on your
analog radios.
To question 2, you can easily burn an MP3 to CD. Some other audio
formats (for podcasts and such) are much more hassle and possibly
impossible to do so.
