It's terrible how museum designers dont tkae photographer's needs into
account.
Lovely bit of history there. I wonder if that is the locomotive that used to
keep me awake in 1953 when we were living 1 block from the tracks in
Lakeview :-)

Pentax K-5,
at the end of our backyard. Our
property abutted CN/CP's property. We were often awoken at 2 AM with freight
car shunting. Our dog would find (and eat!) worn out leather gloves
discarded by the crews. We put up with that for six years ...

You caught a very happy 'attitude' there. Background doesn't interfere,
shallow depth of field?

When I disassemble things I take lots of photos during the process. That way
when 3 months later I try to put it back together there is a reasonable
chance I can figure it out.

That way
Outlook does the same, I find it difficult to say it is a bug or a feature
though. OTOH in Outlook I can set an option to store the sent email with the
replied to one, if it is in a folder other than Inbox. But that doesn't mean
of course that the list received it, only that I saved my sent email.
Nice moment.

I am very pleased with the Sigma 18-250 DC HSM OS lens I bought in late 2011
for my then new K5. It compares very well with the Tamron 18-250 which I
believe Pentax also sold under its name) that is on my wife's K100D.

Lovely renderings. I wonder what a compare to digital view of same would
have been, e.g. take same view with a film and a digital camera.

Your trials have convinced me that I need the upgrade. I am eagerly awaiting
the LR5 upgrade sale later this year. So many hobbies, so little cash :-)
The upright tool will be a great help in making a lot of my travel photos
more pleasing. Too often there is no time or space to get a decent
that one you bought from Tichy. ;-)
