difference. The biggest advantage in BW scanning is the bit depth ie the fact
that you can record more shades of grey in any one pixel.
The last comment rings true, once you have a good scanner you wont believe how

old E-10 (4MP), the sensor is the same size, the pixels are more densely

the last 8 years buying kits of Contax however ended up

digital body and I expect to pay a lot for it but it won't
supersede my use of film. Lets hope that the Pentax engineers spend time
concentrating on quality image delivery, user interface and processing speed
than simply joining the pixel count war.

It seems to me like customs may have had a peek inside to see if I was shipping

My scales put the A*85/1.4 at 559gm A*135f1.8 at 878gm, the K135f2.5 at 504gm
and the Leica-M 90f2 APO ASPH at 480gm.

Moral of the story: Don't Super Glue your K-mount adaptor onto your screw lens
(without suitable modifications of course) :-)
