Re: [Phpns-team] [Question #34670]: RSS feed building
Question #34670 on phpns changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/phpns/+question/34670 Status: Open => Answered alecwh proposed the following answer: raymondo - Well, the only supported "modes" so far are: default, rss, and atom. XML isn't really an option, but RSS can be used as HTML. It acts the same way, and can be parsed easily with other programs. If there is demand for an XML mode (not RSS or ATOM), we'll gladly add it in future releases. Also, please file a bug report with the issue you had about RSS validation. It's easier to fix things that way. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Phpns-team, which is an answer contact for phpns. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~phpns-team Post to : phpns-team@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+editemails More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Phpns-team] [Bug 237973] Re: phpns SEF url's not correctly forming
I believe your problem with the '1' and the '/' has been fixed in the latest bzr commit, but I'll experiment more. Further, the reason you can't load the article without the .htaccess file, is that it is needed for search engine friendly urls. The "mod_rewrite" module is loaded with that file. The fix will be available in 2.2.2, but if you need it immediately, you can clone the latest bzr branch and replace your 'shownews.php' with the current revision. Question #41332 on phpns changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/phpns/+question/41332 alecwh proposed the following answer: Hey Primus, That's interesting, the function is defined in the PHP manual: http://us3.php.net/htmlspecialchars_decode Marked as: (PHP 5 >= 5.1.0) You should have it, but you don't. You can try defining a function yourself: function htmlspecialchars_decode($str) { return strtr($str, array_flip(get_html_translation_table(HTML_SPECIALCHARS))); } I found that in the PHP.net comments. Re: [Phpns-team] [Question #42069]: Show only Title, pre installed variables
Question #42069 on phpns changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/phpns/+question/42069 Status: Open => Answered alecwh proposed the following answer: Yes. First of all, both of those pre-include variables mutually exclude each other. You can't have both of them at the same time, they do opposite things. Now, even though one is simply '0', it is placed inside a string, which makes it a value, not a null integer. Both of them are "True". But it doesn't matter anyway, you are doing the wrong thing. You should create a new template with only the {title} showing, and simply use that. $phpns['template'] = TEMPLATE_ID; -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Phpns-team, which is an answer contact for phpns. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~phpns-team Post to : phpns-team@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~phpns-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Question #42654 on phpns changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/phpns/+question/42654 Status: Open => Answered alecwh proposed the following answer: You'll need, first, to understand static variables. They are documented in the help.php file. So, for the 'headlines' inclusion, I would use this: The "script_link" pre-include variable is optional. You can leave it out, and it will just link to the current file. Now, on news.php (or, just somewhere else on that file if you don't use script_link), just use your regular include code. Question #43428 on phpns changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/phpns/+question/43428 Status: Open => Answered alecwh proposed the following answer: Okay, you're doing it wrong. Shownews.php is NOT meant to be linked to (or shown) directly. It was intended to be included by another PHP document. I was a little confused what you wanted. I told you edit out the warning message that phpns gives in shownews.php, which is the ONLY thing you should have done with it. No more editing, styling, HTML adding. Nothing. So, what you need to do, is have your index include phpns (with any pre-include variables), and have ANOTHER page, say, single.php, include phpns too. That way, you can have your index link to single.php for each of the articles. To do this, you need to use $phpns['script_link']. Check the docs to see how that works. Question #50481 on phpns changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/phpns/+question/50481 Status: Open => Answered alecwh proposed the following answer: Phpns does not initiate variables - which is the reason you are getting the error messages. I realize this is a bad way to solve the issue, but since Phpns is frozen from minor fixes (I consider this a minor fix, because they are warnings), it won't be fixed. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Phpns-team, which is an answer contact for phpns. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~phpns-team Post to : phpns-team@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~phpns-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
