Many thanks morberg for the fix for OSX! I had given up on Spicefly
since my move to OSX from linux. With the modification to if ($os eq
'unix' || $os eq 'mac') { in the Plugin.pm file I can now get things
going again and enjoy the (sometimes strange) journeys this plots out.

Apparently weather.com - the source of this data - decided to change the
way they did their html and as a result the parsing failed until Greg
could get time to take a look and fix things - which he did very

Classic FM ought to be in the standard menu setup of AlienBBC. If you
go up in the top level of its menu (where Radio 1 is the starting
point), a couple of steps up should take you to GWR Stations. Go right
into this menu list and scroll down - you should find Classic FM in
there.

Using the fishbone skin will get you the album cover (thumbnail size) in
the right hand frame. Using the Nokia770 skin will get you a single
frame which includes a somewhat larger version of the cover art. I
can't think of any other way.

The Stan James one works for me with this URL:

I tried using the java.jar version rather than the ewe one and it works
just fine - with three instances open at once they each consume 1% of
CPU. Not sure what was wrong with my ewe set up but never mind, I have
got what I want now.

now seems to put most things into
/usr/share/slimserver whereas under all my prevous installs (automated
rpms and manual ubuntu) things had been in /usr/local/slimserver.
So far it seems to have had no other impact on the set up, but I am
curious as to why the change.
