Do any of these plugins use the Transporter's knob as a way to move the
play 'pointer' forwards & back (not unlike the way the click-wheel does
on the iPod).

Just wondering if sweep recordings must be at 16-bit depth? What
happens if I used 24 or 32? Will it work better/worse/not at all?
Thanks,

I played around with the endianness flags, but it didn't make any
difference.
So, I'm stuck, too...

see what I come up with.
BTW, have you tried playing AACs on your G5 without InguzEQ running?

I tried using an RS SPL a while ago and it actually worked ok. If you
go to his thread, browse through it and you will find a link to an RS
SPL mic calibration file that you can use with DRC:

It took me a few tries the first time I tried, too. Worth the effort,
though!

BTW, there was a revision to the Apple Extreme announced today -- the
wired ports in the back are now gigabit ethernet (instead of 10/100).
Think I will get one myself now. I hear the range increase is
significant.

I use an original Apple Airport Express -- works great. I have two
Squeezeboxes and one Transporter wirelessly connected to it (all of
which have better range than my MacBook Pro.)

If you go to server settings->Plugins, do you see that EQ is checked in
the list of plugins (and loaded at startup)?
If it is checked, maybe try unchecking, restarting the server, checking
it again and restarting the server.

should I use an unbalanced cable with a 1/4" phone jack to connect the
preamp's unbalanced out to the LINE/GUITAR IN port?
Thanks.
