Sounds like a fun project, and the result will be a bit like when
MusicBee slides a notification onto the screen at the lower right. I'm
happy enough with the mini browser, but good luck and I'm looking
forward to testing whatever you come up with!

You can also include a file called artist.jpg in a folder with tracks

+1, great and a big thank you :-).
I use Deezer via Ickstream. Can this also be implemented as a target for
the LastMix plugin?
Ciao,

Thanks Greg! Your mini-browser already works better than the original,
and now if you can make it collapse correctly in response to its own
control I really don't see the need for a tray notification.

Is there any way that incorrect or missing artist artwork can be
corrected within M ?
If you define a folder where to store those images you can then
add/replace images as you like. They wouldn't be replaced by the plugin.
Only missing images are added to that folder.

The mini-browser, when opened, follows the player panel configuration,

I still don't know why it isn't working sometimes. Today I tried
OrangeSqueeze (Android App):
When I play music on my Squeezebox Touch I can search
I turned off my Windows notification sounds long ago. But I see no great
need for this, as the mini player serves the same purpose for me. Maybe
a smaller mini player showing only text?

Version 1.3.9 is coming with a small change to prevent a possible error
on shutdown if you select exit and then quickly double-click tray icon
while shutting down before icon disappears.
Also, I have been playing with the idea of showing "Toast Notifications"
when a new song plays. A Toast

I just discovered that Spotty via LMS proper (not Connect - I don't use
it) remains fully operational during a Full Clear & Rescan. Brilliant -
as I hated the silence that I thought was necessitated by such a rescan.
FWIW: with LMS 7.9 you should be able to continue to listen to your

Running LMS on a windows pc using Chromecast to play RP on a Chromecast

sounds terreffic when it works. Some times it works for several tracks
butoften it just stops without warning. I then have to press play and it
starts again. Annoying when I love to listen to tihis great station.
This is just raspbian with some other server apps on it, like fhem and
tvheadend.
The log file snippet you posted has indications of networking failure.
Not messages by Spotty, but LMS. But Spotty obviously would fail, too,
if the network wasn't available.
Is this an ongoing issue? You said
