Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.3.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox

2018-08-11 Thread Michael Herger

I use a Qnap TS119P II more or less only for LMS, if i want to activate
spotty in the plugins, it does not activate, just goes back to
inactive.

Are you talking about the checkbox on the Plugins configuration page? Or
what do you activate?

Is this NAS not compatible or am i doing something wrong.
Newest Qnap Firmware 4.3.3.0628 is on and newest lms 7.9.2-1533559127

I believe the NAS _should_ work (based on the CPU type). Make sure you
give it some time before you click the "restart LMS" button you get
after you install a plugin. Spotty is a bit heavy and can take a while
to properly install.

Search for JSON/RPC on this forum to learn how to use the CLI over http.
The CLI documentation is then in the help section on LMS

All commands are documented in your LMS:

But I'd suggest you move this to its own thread.

Do you have an example of an http command that would work to sync 2
players? I found this as an example but it doesn't seem to work from
here
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?105296-Controlling-Player-Sync

I substituted jukebox for the LMS server and instead of IP addresses I
used the MAC's.

"http://jukebox:9000/status.html?sync=192.168.11.127&player=192.168.11.115";

Unfortunately not as simple as that. Log attached.

The progress bar moves as expected for the first 6 seconds but no sound.

Couple of things

- you're sending mp3, not flac to the jongo
- I've seen on Xiaomi players that they do not support sending icy
metadata, although they claim they do. So try to disable icy-metadata
(see settings in plugin UI). This only applies to mp3 or aac

Don't think you can remove that from the GUI - you'd have to manually
edit the file ( stop the bridge first! )

Or else delete the config completely and start again from scratch -
probably easier to stop the bridge, edit the file manually to remove the
line, and then restart though :D

Interesting - I've no experience of the the Jongo range but your log
does at least appear to be trying to send FLAC ( and with a stream
length of 10 )

Code:

[15:49:20.121078] handle_http:489 [0xbeb58]: responding:
  HTTP/1.1 200 OK
  Server: squeezebox-bridge

  Content-Length: 10

[15:49:20.133814] read_line:550 fd: 11 read error: Connection reset by peer

But the Jongo doesn't seem to be happy about something - does it work
for you if you transcode to MP3 instead ?

Ok. I'm trying to use ha-bridge so I can use Alexa to easily switch

PCM isn't a great option for streaming anyway - so mp3 looks to be the
way to go with the S3X to me.

How about just

Code:

  flac
  aac,mp3

and definitely remove

Code:

  1
  audio/flac

The S3X claims support for aac & mp3

Yes, that’s what it’s doing, but I can’t provide a simple sample because
it’s quite a complex sequence, depending on whether players are synced,
playing etc.
For two players it’s really just syncing the two and then unsyncing the
source player, though. That will usually already stop it in this case.

Did you try removing the

I think the problem is that the S3X doesn't handle FLAC so you need to
tell the bridge to transcode to a different format.

Actually forget that - looking at the specs for the Jongo SX3 it doesn't
seem to mention support for FLAC at all - so I think you're going to
have to transcode to MP3 ( or something else )

Try removing the

It looks like it's sending mp3 to your player rather than flac.

What happens if you change your codecs from

Code:

aac,pcm,flc,mp3

to

Code:

flc

Might also be worth adding

Code:

flac

Rather than using pass-through mode ?

Add https://sourceforge.net/projects/lms-to-upnp/files/dev/repo-sf.xml
to the 'Additional repositories' box at the bottom of the Plugins page.

To install the development version you will need to add Philippe's
development repository

Code:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/lms-to-upnp/dev/repo-sf.xml

To the Additional Repositories at the bottom of the Plugins Page in LMS
- then click Apply.

That should allow you to update to the latest version with the fixes.

hello,

I#m not sure if the update get well at my System. The plugin-list says:

25428

The jongo-S3X config-Gui looks like this:

25429

The jongo-part in the *.xml:

device>
uuid:93b2abac-cb6a-4857-b891-0019f5817ac2
thk-jongoS3X
48000
bb:bb:f5:81:7a:c2
raw
100
audio/flac
1
1
1
thk-jongoS3X
1
aac,pcm,flc,mp3
0
2
1

All-right, there is a setting in "forced_mimetype" but there is no
setting for http-Mode. Unfortunatly the jongo doesn't play *.flac's.

Greatings, thk_ms

I'm using the LMS settings GUI. The 1.1.0.1 version does fix the FLAC
codec problem (by adding audio/flac to extra_mimetypes) buy the Jongo
still will not play. The 'chunked' and 'no length' options do not offer
the -1, 10 option that seemed to be needed previously.

Philippe you're a legend :D

Streaming FLAC files up to 24bit/192kHz no problem - using pass-through,
just flc for codecs and audio/flac in forced mimetypes

These are my current settings for the CD-N301 ( left Common options at
default settings )

Code:

  CD-N301 DLNA
  audio/flac
  0
  0
  0
  CD-N301 BB29B1
  bb:bb:c8:49:23:bb
  1
  192000
  -1
  flc
  uuid:5f9ec1b3-ed59-1900-4530-00a0de1b0fff
  1
  0

Not explored any other options yet - but it's certainly fixed my problem
!

I've added a super-preliminary version 1.1.0.1 in the dev repository.
I'd like to see if it solves

1- the flac forcing problem for the Jongo
2- for the Xiaomi, the icy metadata issue when listening to some radio
(RP)
3- it adds as well MP3 as a re-encode options which gives metadata in
flow mode, so you have replay gain, fading, gapless and metadata if your
player supports icy protocol ... allright, it's mp3 but you can chose up
to 320k ...
3- few other fade modes correction for short tracks

Please use with caution, but I'd really like to have feedback, pretty
please
