It's all good, everything seems to be working now, I feel better about
it.. One more issue I should mention.
Windows 10, installing MusicIP as a service... it works if you are
running LMS locally on the same machine.
However if LMS is on another machine you will need to go the windows
Generally when you edit files, you are modifying files in RAM. pCP
recreates the file system after each boot.
When you edit a file, you must do a backup to make it available after a
reboot.
This does not apply to the boot partition, which is persistent and
usually unmounted.

I'd like to revert to configuring Wifi using the web interface.
I deleted the wpa_supplicant.conf from the boot section. I removed the

I'm wondering how to get this functionality back, at least temporarily.
To the best of my knowledge 2.5.0 is the latest released. Is there a way
that I can roll

Just to add to what 33squeezebox_Fan mentioned, reading the patents a
while back MIP fingerprints by taking the source file and converting it
to a wav file before it does it's analysis. Therefore if you have
issues they are likely in that conversion step, maybe timeouts, beyond
the capabilities

Awesome! Now we both need to go out and
Spotty v4.5.4 is working!
My kids can listen to their podcasts again! This is so great. So many

Thanks, yeah, I saw that. I also saw that from SB Player you can choose
another app to launch (squeeze ctrl maybe)...
I guess I posted to see what is the most elegant way to interlink the
two, and have SB Player run only when
Hi there, could someone be so kind and direct me to where I can download
the spk for either LMS 8.0.0 or LMS 8.1 for DS414?
Thank you in advance.

v4.5.4 is on its way to you. It should fix this issue with the
incompatible command line argument an old helper binaries. The new
helper binaries v1.0.1 no longer need it, but have the setting baked in.

I did see the following in a log file when poking around on my server:
error: Unrecognized option: 'normalisation-method'
Oh!... that's an excellent catch! Would you be able to edit the
custom-convert.conf file (in the root of the Spotty installation
folder)? You could try to remove

Yes, I tried that. Spotty was working again, I could access everything
and 'play' the music, but still there was no sound, no audio output from
the boxes. But the boxes are working fine otherwise, that is, they play
sound when I am accessing my own music files or internet radio.

I have been a long time user of squeeze ctrl, and just added SB Player,

great, thank you.
I am wondering the best settings, and on which app, to integrate the
two? I looked for a SB Player support thread using the forum

Yeah, I wrote those instructions before I realised you needed the ARM
Legacy support. -hf won't work. Did you try with that ARM Legacy helper

See the post immediately before yours for a much less expensive
solution.
The minimum is Raspberry

I'm still sticking with the 4.4 plugin at the moment, as the reported
issues with ReplayGain would seem to make 4.5 a backward step for me.
I'm also using Ogg->FLAC conversion on the server, and this seems to
result in RG working well enough for me with 4.4 (it did not work in

I see that and I am willing to adapt :D
I did some research on the Pi and think that a starter kit is right for
me but still there are many variants. As I am a total noob would
something like that

Hi,
Don't know if this item came along in earlier threads. I can't find any
via search.
I run LMS with the latest UPnP/DLNA bridge via Docker on a Syno DS918+
to stream to my Devialet.
It handles my music collection and regular lossy radio stations very
well, except for the Radio Paradise

Update:
I kind of gave up. The Pi running LMS was old anyway so I went down to
the store and got myself a Pi 3+. Came with a NOOB SD card so it was up
and running in a short time. Installed a brand new LMS, got nfs up and
