Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
My iMac M1 is running LMS 8.3.1. I use Duet, Radio and Touch. SDT shows and runs in the "Extras" menu. My Custom Clock version is 2.12.140. Is there a way to put SDT to work as a screensaver (in Custom Clock?), as I remember doing some years back? fsoares's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4199 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
I had two Radios and have one Duet displaying a Custom Clock screensaver with SDT weather data. Somewhere in the past weeks the custom screensavers are not displayed anymore on the Radios and I don't see the Custom Clock Settings menu entry anymore under the Screensavers menu tree. The Custom Clock helper applet is installed on the Radios, I re-installed it and it is listed in the Advanced/Squeezebox Information/Plug-in modules. On the Duet things are working fine. It is probably user error , a setting I forgot? Could someone point me in the right direction? There you will see size and position, and these numbers youll have to recalculate. If you use Celsius, not Fahrenheit just go ahead and try my attached screen and then you do style import and paste the text into the field in custom clock helper. I think you might like it. Otherwise as I said, recalculation of sizes and positions. By the way, you can use a JSON formater in your browser, and then it is sorted in a nicer way. You can find the json formator when you google it. Thanks. I was beginning to think this was a lost cause. I'm not following what you mean when you say modify the screen accordingly. Is there somewhere you tell the software the size of the screen. I thought in Custom Clock Helper when you put in the "Model" field "Jivelite800x480" you were essentially telling the program what size screen you had. I did this with a text editor by first exporting the clock, modifying it in the text editor and then re-importing it in custom clock helper. Your new screen is 800 horizontal pixels, your old one was 480, so horizontal currently 1.66 times bigger. Vertical 480 versus 272, so 1.76 times bigger. I'm using RPI 4 and pCP 7.0 with Jivelite and a 5" touch screen. I'm using Custom Clock as a screen saver when the player is off. I'm using the pre-canned "SDT Weather Farenheit". Is there a way to center the whole thing on my display. I'd be happy to just move it down, but ideally I would like to move it to the right a little bit too. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Hi, I'm a long time user of SDT and a proud owner of some booms, a joggler and a SB2. These are running from a windows machine and the ripped music is stored elsewhere on the home network. I was running LMS 7.3 for a long time and got back in touch with the forum as I wanted to introduce Custom Clock Applet and Custom Clock Helper combination on the O2 jogglers. With a background check I moved to the most recent version of: LMS 8.1.1 CCH 2.11.94 And of course SDT 5.11.11 On the joggler Custom Clock applet is 2.12.140 Thanks to many people on the forum, a nice screensaver is now running a clock and weather forecast on the joggler. (When playing music, the screen also features an analog VU meter, spectrum analyser, now playing information including album cover or radio station logo, artist and song. This would not be possible if it weren't for people like Ralphy, Erland, GoCubs, BoomX2 and many others. We used to have a commercial radio device before and we never used its remote. Since adding an IR remote to pcp looks pretty easy maybe I will try it. I found a weird behavior of CustomClock (with Joggler skin). When a custom clock style is set as replacement of Now playing screen then it gets activated but not possible to exit and go back to menu. It remains on the screen whatever I do. Only recovery is system reboot. Is it a known issue? Is there workaround? sakos's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70470 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
I am trying again: I have been asking this before. Maybe somebody jumps in and knows the solution: I am trying to build a custom clock as "Now Playing" screensaver. I would like to have the title broken into three lines, but I can only see the first line, if I turn the "animate" attribute on, I see the rest of an underlying second line, but I don't succeed in putting lines beneath each other. So far, I am using this item definition: Code: {"itemtype":"tracktext","line2fontsize":"","align":"left","fontsize":"22","fontfile":"","width":"320","visibilitygroup":"","order":"","visibilitytime":"","posy":"107","linelength":"320","line1fontsize":"","line1height":"40","line2height":"40","line3height":"40","posx":"5","lineheight":"40","visibilityorder":"","fonturl":"","text":"TITLE","margin":"20","color":"lightgray","line3fontsize":"","scrolling":"false","animate":"false"}, Is there anybody who has done something like that? Examples would be appreciated! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Hi, I posted this question in the Custom Clock thread of Squeezebox Touch, but maybe this is the better place to ask: erland wrote: > I haven't seen any automatic support for doing line breaks, but it would > definitely be possible to implement. > > The question is just how the line breaking should work: > - Line breaking between words is going to waste unnecessary space if > there is a log word on the right side which doesn't fit on the upper > row. > - Line breaking in middle of word is going to look and work bad because > your brain isn't going to recognize the word which is split upon two > lines. > > Actually, there might already be line break support when I think about > it because it's implemented for the rsstext item type in Custom Clock, I > think that should work for all *text items, for example a "tracktext" > item where you have set the "text" attribute to "TITLE". Hello, sorry to bring up this really old thread - I have searched through a lot of posts and could not find anything else. I am trying to build a custom clock as "Now Playing" screensaver. I would like to have the title broken into three lines. And it does not work as described above. I can only see the first line, if I turn the "animate" attribute on, I see the rest of an underlying second line, but I don't succeed in putting lines beneath each other. So far, I am using this item definition: Code: {"itemtype":"tracktext","line2fontsize":"","align":"left","fontsize":"22","fontfile":"","width":"320","visibilitygroup":"","order":"","visibilitytime":"","posy":"107","linelength":"320","line1fontsize":"","line1height":"40","line2height":"40","line3height":"40","posx":"5","lineheight":"40","visibilityorder":"","fonturl":"","text":"TITLE","margin":"20","color":"lightgray","line3fontsize":"","scrolling":"false","animate":"false"}, Is there anybody who has done something like that? Examples would be highly appreciated! Thanks a lot. schup011's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66557 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

2 nice little screens for the Radio with clock, weather information, spectrummeter and more goodies. SDT Weather Clock is an off-screen, and SDT Playing Clock what it says. Import them with CustomClockHelper and choose them in CustomClock on your Radio. To use all features put unzipped-folder "Radio" with the images into "applets/CustomCLock/" as described in post#699. You also might want to replace the standard playing screen with mine. Use it the appropiate menü within CustomClock on your Radio at settings. Have fun with customizing the screens to your needs. 28521 28522 +---+ |Filename: IMG_4073.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=28522| +---+ 2xPi3-7"+pCP+LMS | Transporter | 2xTouch | 2xClassic | 2xBoom | 2xRadio | iPeng | [2xOdroid U3+m2p+LMS] bluetdi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20633 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks, but doesn't github use https? or maybe there is a way to set it up somehow for http instead of https Anyway, I was hoping to store my files locally, but was not able to copy them to Jivelite's usb drive yet. I'm using a 'bootable USB version of jivelite' (http://www.cjh.me.uk/joggler/alpha04/) for a joggler device, by chill. The USB uses ext2 filesystem and I think I could access and write to it from my android device earlier, but can't anymore. Also tried on windows 10 with Ext2 File System Driver, but even though windows explorer seems to copy the file to the drive, later after removing and reinserting the USB, it doesn't show the new files anymore, so it probably fails to write the files. Will try with a portable linux distribution when I have the time. But I would be grateful if anyone was in a similar situation and has come up with a solution, and could help me end my struggles there.. mnd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Anyone could help me how to set the correct timezone for the current time, that is displayed by the custom clock applet? I use the "%H1:%M" variables, but it displays GMT time. Where does the custom clock applet get the current time - does it come from the settings of the Logitech media server, from the custom clock helper, the PC/NAS that the server is installed on, or some place else? mnd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
I'm looking for a little help with troubleshooting a custom clock screensaver that was displaying and now isn't. LMS is on a Windows 10 box and I have a few custom clocks set up and assigned slots. Using a Radio, I see the screensaver in question and it is selected for Now Playing. But it doesn't display. Nor do any of the stock screensavers for Now Playing. When I set the saver I want to use for Now Playing as the Off screensaver, it displays properly. When I set the saver I use for Off as the Now Playing saver, it doesn't display. Nothing will display as a Now Playing saver except for the default. So it appears my custom clock files are good and the issue is with Now Playing. Ideas? Suggestions? Fixes? Thanks. phred's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52602 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I did try to squeeze more in, but found I had to use smaller fonts and separate lines otherwise it took an age for all the long text to scroll round. The 'now playing' line has some stuff you may not have or want (year, samplezize etc). The disc (if present) and track should precede the album name. Each to their own. I only intended to provide a demo of one way things could be done, fully expecting others to want to do things (very) differently:) LMS 7.9.2 on PC, Xubuntu 18.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. 2 Touchs & EDO. For CustomClock that's customclockhelper.prefs . The Settings, Advanced web page for Custom Clock Helper lets you export and import new screen designs. I would advise that you use that rather than editing the prefs file. LMS 7.9.2 on PC, Xubuntu 18.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. 2 Touchs & EDO. So I eventually ended up with these screens (Touch + Radio): 27849 27850 I think on the Touch there's still enough space to add lines for composer, conductor or band/orchestra if you things up a bit. You could also add the disc number/count in brackets right next to the track number/count if you need that. Myself, I could probably do without the genre, I usually know that. And as for very long tags, LMS/Touch will scroll through those alternately, that's good enough for me. @peace_of_mind Do you mean the clock styles? You have to install the CustomClockHelper Plugin in your LMS settings. Then you can import/create styles in your LMS Settings (Advanced > CustomClockHelper): http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom_Clock_applet +---+ |Filename: Radio.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=27850| +---+ afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
