I have just tried the demo of Waste 3.0, the update for PM's text
engine, which is Unicode (yes) and in some ways, for Semitic languages,
even better then the engines currently used in Cocoa apps (full stops,
half stops etc and numbers seem to be placed correctly, whereas they can
be nightmarish
Well well, I have recovered my PowerMail database. What I had not
thought of before, was the possibility that I used my database on an
external HD (which of course I did not find by searching the internal
HD). And indeed, this is the database I have been using all along.

computers and receiving complaints when I leave mail on the POP-
server for even 1 day, IMAP has its attractions. For IMAP to work
nicely with PM it should be faste, filters should apply, and

That's one of the icons I like, together with the spam icon. Many others
are too aqua for me.
In general, as someone remarked a couple of weeks ago, the icons are not
homogeneous but of mixed style. In general they do not meet the quality
of the PM
I use Recent Mail regularly. I leave it open at the bottom of the
screen ordinarily. When this window is open in a larger size and I click
on the green button to change size back to the smaller size it expands
sending the toolbar to the top of the screen hiding the top of it behind
the PowerMail

it because of a limitation of the text engine we are using. But you can
save the message as text (make sure to select unicode in the format popup
menu), and open the file in TextEdit for example.

I have an odd mailbox error: a line of an attachment appears across the
mailbox listing (I cannot include a snapshot, alas, to the maillist). It
overlaps with the regular list. It is the first line of an attachment
(but never of either subject of body field). It does not disappear when

I got PM working again - suddenly remembered the option-command cure when
starting up, and it did the trick.
