Malcolm: I use http://www.code42.com/crashplan/. Like you I looked at
a lot. I also read the comparisons. I have been using this for about
two years. Works fine and I can get my files when I need them easily.

that is a good idea to ask him if you could upload it.

Should there be ";" line continuations in there? Also, any reason why
you put the commas in front instead of behind the varuable?
TIA

That makes sense. Thank you Frank. I am also guessing it would be
faster. What I am seeing could be the result of a timing issue. I am
going to check this morning to see if the records that are missing are
reproducible.

Fred: Nope. It is skipping inserting records into the SQL table.

HNY Steve! I have no control over the SQL Server table. If an index is
auto generated and you place a value in there, what happens?

HNY Fred! Set deleted is on but there are no deleted records in the

don't know if it skipped the records or my subsequent query is not
selecting all of the records.
Any ideas?

What wrapping it in a try catch does is allows it to terminate normally
after the error occurs. That's what I was looking for. A way to have
the object gracefully go through it completion after an error occurred.
I always release my objects immediately after using them.

Thanks for all your help! The main method in the class is
dodatacall(). I wrapped the entire process in a try catch and I get my
error message and it gracefully exits the method.
Thanks!

release object
is what I do all the time. The situation here is that the error occurs
inside the object. Can you release an object in its error method?
