Unfortunately, driver problems often only show up in one or two programs,
especially those programs that stress the driver. Schematic PCB output
(print display) is certainly graphically intensive compared to your
average Windows program. Similarly, if you talk to a PC-gamer, they can

I usually find that if Protel has got into this sort of routine, then it's
time to re-boot the PC (often needing power-cycling, just to make sure).
The same applies with Windows 2000, although it's not needed nearly as
often
as with 95!

Hi Guys
I have bad problems like this due to the interaction with a 42 HP
Designjet800 Network Plotter. I fix it by having protel installed on the
print server and opening the database for plotting only from that server.
After I'm done plotting, I MUST open the Protel database on this server and

it.
I agree with you that time is money, but I don't totally agree with you that
ATI is the problem here since I also get application crashes when I try to
print. But it only affects PCB printing. Schematic printing works fine. I get a

Michael,
i had the same problem with Win95 some time ago. Protel did not liked the
Microsoft fax printer driver (Exchange) that time. After deinstalling the
fax driver protel printed ok.
Best way is to deinstall all your printer drivers and reinstall them one by
one, checking which of them is the
