Just a brief update:
I did a deep freezer treatment of the battery pack. 18 hours at -18 c
and then slowly thawed it wrapped in insulation some hours in the fridge
and then some hours on the counter, still wrapped.
After two charge cycles it now runs the Radio for above one hour instead
of 3-5
Oh, and getting frisky.
If I never charge it in the Radio, could i just use a 3 cell LIPO that i
have for drones?
Though the voltages don't match up completely correct as a 3 cell LIPO
is 12,6 v when fully charged and should be cut off well before 9 v. And
the Logitech pack divided the cells in

First: It's amazing to see that this community is still alive.
What's left of my SB ecosystem is a Radio in the kitchen and one on the
nightstand. They both see pretty much daily use. I still lament
Logitechs handling of the product line.

preset-key. Next time you click it, that same playlist will start
playing.

whole days on batteries in the weekends when I was remodelling

There are a number of android apps for controlling Squeezeboxen. Most
(including myself) prefer SqueezeCommander. It costs a little but well
worth it. I also think its the only one that works on 3g.

quesation: I use it as an alarm everyday and I never had a problem that
caused the alarm to not fire. (On ocasion backup- alarm sound, yes. But
it has never failed to wake me up.)

Just got my battery and remote yesterday. This bug effectively makes it
a three-button remote: power on/off, pause and most importantly sleep
(I have actually put the remote on my nightstand 10 cm from the Radio
and 30 cm from my head).

There are errors in 7.4.1 with regards to alarm stability. It has been
dealt with in 7.4.2. Forget about running a server just for the alarm.
Run it for other reasons.

now you have your Squeezebox and is set. But as you can see from
numerous signatures, one Squeezebox is never enough. There are even
forum-users speaking of having more than one in the same room :)
