I second James’s recommendation of Baltimore Bicycle Works as an option that’s
a bit further away but worth the drive. The Belvedere Square location is home
to their resident Riv expert, but both spots are staffed by super knowledgeable
worker-owners who will treat you right.

As others will also tell you, your best bet is to peruse the list’s archives
(and maybe some eBay sold listings) to determine value, give it a price point
you can live with, and make a FS posting with plenty of info and pictures.

The Steripen looks cool. You could throw a Sawyer Squeeze in with that to take
care of any physical debris in the water. It takes up very little space and
weighs next to nothing. Only downside is it doesn’t work against viruses—but
maybe your pen does that—so it’s not a standalone
requires a shorter headtube—and I’m guessing a different headtube angle—and
these things change the ride and comfort of a bike, as well as the handling.

I made a tool roll out of those cheap-o Home Depot canvas tool belts. I sewed
several little compartments in it. Took about 5 minutes. I generally store it
in another bag, but it is a super cheap solution. Wouldn't probably work as
well under a saddle as a waxed-canvas tool roll, though.

ion that I have more fun riding the same trails on the Krampus
vs. my Sam (Troll is not yet built-up). The trails are pretty darn
technical, and I've never *needed* suspension. Anything a hard tail can do,
IMHO, a rigid bike can do, especially a plus or fat bike. YMMV.

FWIW, this rack will spend most of its time on my new Surly Troll (and some
on my Sam), which I will ride mostly off-road and to/from trails. It will
support a saddlebag mounted up front and/or a basket, depending on the day.

This particular Atlantis has a really nice bunch of parts, and while it
