DELICIOUS EASY COBBLER
1 stick butter
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
2 c. fruit (blackberries, cherries, rhubarb or any fresh fruit in season,
drained frozen or canned fruit)
Place butter in 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
SUPER FRUIT SAUCE DIP
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
Melt butter. Add brown sugar, bring to a smooth consistency and remove
from heat, let cool a few minutes. Add vanilla and sour cream. Keep
refrigerated. Great for
COOKIE SALAD
1 c. buttermilk
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1 pkg. fudge stripe cookies
Mix the buttermilk and vanilla pudding together. Add the Cool Whip. Then
add 1 can fruit cocktail and 1 can mandarin oranges that have been drained.
AFTER CHURCH STEW
1 1/2 lbs. lean chuck, round or top sirloin beef, cut in 1/1 2 inch cubes
2 tsp. salt (less may be used)
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 stalks celery, cut in diagonal slices
4 med. carrots, pared and quartered

1 can black-eyed peas, drained
