I know its been a long time since I first posed the question on what might be
causing the noise we were experiencing after being hit by lightening. After
many trips to the Technical shop for testing, we replaced the repeater ( was a
vertex 5000, now a Icom ur2000) and are in process of checking

Does anyone know of a new or older 220 mobile that was (is) made with a
voice synth. in it? Kind of like the vs-3 chip that is in the Kenwood
stuff. Want it

the top cover. Look somewhere in the middle. look for the component
labeled 440. Put a meter on it you should get voltage for cor. I use
them for a 6 and 10 meter repeater.

I started off with the 2 G6-440 my self. It lasted about a year before
the SWR started flying thru the roof and the second about 7 months after
that. Pattern was ok while it lasted. Go for DB products and save
yourself from headaches later.

Your main should be port 1 on the RVS-8 and the voting rec at the main
site should go to port 2 and port 3 depending on how many aux rec sites
you have. The output of the RVS-8 controller will go your main
controller. My

they go off one at a time. As far as the the Time out timer for
repeater 2 use what ever comers with your Tx.

The problem is that there is one timeout timer, one
carrier
I have a spectrum 220 rec. It worked well in a site by it self. But
once I transferred it to the main site ful of wonderful pager Tx and
other com repeaters in the same site. Forgetaboutit. Regardless of how
much filtering. So we went to a Micor Rec. Problem solved.

I can use about 15 of these channel elements.
The standard elements we are currently using are not very stable and
allow the transmitter to drift
