Hi Jesse,
on a current version of RT customfield search works fine. But the problem is,
that we made a lot of customization on 3.2.1 version, therefore an upgrade will
be very time-consuming and expensive.
Many thanks for your answer !!!

I am a newb to rt but like to give where I take. Could you use multiple queues
to segregate the permissions and tickets?

Luis,
Then I am confused. If you have installed RT and are simply trying to
set values for some Custom Fields before the customer uses RT, then why
not simply use the Bulk Update feature? If you can identify the
tickets in any way, that would be the way I would do it. I had a

Mathieu,
You are correct. Set your recipients template in Prepare. Make sure
you put a return 1; in the Cleanup Action.

Samir,
I do something similar to that. Based on the value of a (ticket) Custom

Thanks Ken,
What I want is to put the condition in the template: here is my scrip:
Condition: On ticket creation
Action: Notify Requestor
Template : in the template I want to add a variable Cc based on a custom
field value:
Cc: {'based on custom field value'}
But I don't know the code to use

Hi Jesse,
I attached a patch for 3.8.6.
I'm not sure it is the best solution for this problem but it seems a working
one.
Hope I helped.
When I comment on a ticket in RT 3.8.7, then hit the Update Ticket button,
the browser displays Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I then
have to hit the back button to get back into RT. The update does stick to
the database.
What is the fix for this???

Would anyone that has 3.8.7 installed that also uses custom fields, be willing
to use the spreadsheet extract when viewing a queue and let me know if the

out of there is an issue with my installation, or if it is a bug
