It must be grounded (meaning connected with something conductive which
is attached to a 'ground' potential).
I'm trying to find something that could be fixed to the inside wall of our home
behind the meter to stop these microwaves. It has been suggested aluminium foil
could be used but does anyone know if this would really do the job?

I'd imagine that lessemf.com would probably have something you could use to
eliminate the hazard from the meter, if worse comes to worse. I've phoned them
and they're pretty helpful and knowledgeable.
