the "generic Post Script" printer and have Ghostscript do the
work. It does a good job and can be set to work interactively. I
had it working this way sending the print jobs to an old bj300
until it died.

Some printer cables are designed to be bidirectional and some are not.

I use reiser on everything except my boot partition {I wasn't sure if I
could - still aren't, really}, and it's great.
I have Reiser file system only on this machine (SuSE 7.1). Works fine.
You don't need the ext2 boot any more.

The CDRW Disk was easily read in my daughter's Win2k machine.
I'll transfer it across the network. Shame my Linux machine
