Personally I don't use any antivirus software, macOS has Xprotect and SIP to keep the system in check and if you need it MalwareBytes AntiMalware is free and scans on-demand to remove any adware showing you extra adverts online. Culprits include Geneio, Spigot and Vsearch which run in the

You're trying to send an me.com message through a btinternet account. Is that deliberate? They like to go through their own -- ie me.com or icloud.com (same) should be sending those. Somewhere it's trying to use the wrong smtp. Have you got an icloud/me.com address set-up? It sounds like that
