Even without 3rd party plugins, it exhibits the same strange behavior. I
manually added a new preset to one
That led me to suspect that the problem might be coming from the
SettingsManager Plugin because it has an option to keep player

Can you elaborate? An app certainly can get the presets, if that's what
you're asking for. I believe they're part of the status query.

Is it possible to get presets as an Apllication ?
It could be very useful to create specific preset per players.

Sure. That's how it worked for about a decade or more. The visual editor
is just an addition to the old "car style" way of setting presets.
