I also noticed something about all of my Squeezeboxen as well as his, NONE of then will allow you to start or goto MYSB.com. There is no Tab or button anywhere for MYSB.com Are you suffering from the power-user syndrome? Did you try out so many parameters and settings you don't remember how you broke your LMS? :-D In particular: are you running LMS with the --nomysqueezebox parameter? Is there some setting on the LMS Server that would prevent a Touch, Transporter, Baby, or Boom from being able to go to MYSB.com? --nomysqueezebox. Did you restart all networking components in volved? In particular any device potentially acting as the DNS proxy? We did recently work on the infrastructure, incl. replacing load-balancers. Therefore IP addresses have changed. I understand how you're running this with multiple queries, but can you not increase the number of queries. So 20 queries with 50 item? I certainly could. But there are certain limitations: - processing 20 queries (1000 tracks!) will render the UX "sluggish" (I guess you'd live with that because you like the result :-)) - we're only allowed to do so many requests per time unit against TIDAL's servers. By running your 20 queries we might potentially lock out some other user. Since the update, my Artist list seems to also include Composers, and maybe Album Artists. I do not want this. How do I revert to the behavior of listing Artists only? The Web interface lists Artists correctly, but my Transporters include the other categories. My thinking -- which happens every time I decline the prompt to update all the way to 4.3.8, laugh again -- is, if it ain't broke, why fix it? The only thing I'm using the NAS for is to store and play my extensive music library over my AV system, using a SBT, or outdoors using computer speakers plugged into a Amazon Fire with angryGoat's SB Player app installed. It all works flawlessly. Some day when the NAS or SBT finally dies (like my Duet did, a blessing, considering how finicky it was to keep it connected) THEN I'll figure out how to set up one of these Raspberry Pi devices. Is there something wrong with my thinking? Is there a reason I should update LMS on the NAS to whatever is the latest version it can handle? On the left side of LMS Home page, there's an item "Extras", if you expand that, there's an option "Music Source" that allows you to connect to any LMS instance running on your network, this includes mysqueezebox.com. Can you connect from there? . Oh well, so much for thinking it was fixed. No sooner was I home and getting a glass of water then my neighbor called saying it was doing the same thing! We played a few single random songs while it was working and he then loaded up an Album as I was leaving. The Touch started playing the album getting through 6 songs before it stopped playing and generated the same old Error: Connection Reset By Local Host So now what? There is no Tab or button anywhere for MYSB.com plus when you goto Settings/Advanced/Networking/Switch to MYSB.com and press that line on the Touch, all it does is blink once and make the "don't do that" donking sound while not switching to MYSB.com. I went to the web and MYSB.com entered his username and password and it show there. Still nothing. Next went to LMS Settings/MYSB.com/Email & Password entered them and clicked on Apply. He is now able to listen to Tidal on his Touch. Needed pointed in the right direction. There is no place this could be saved for it to pull from since the Vortexbox Server was completely reformatted during the install of Vortexbox 2.4. He had to put his LastFM information back in as well as his MYSB.com info. When I used the Tidal free trail, I also remember the plugin asking me for username and password. So last night I brought his Vortexbox and Touch over to my home and it does the same thing on my network and also whether I use his Touch or Mine. I tested to uninstall the app and install it again. right from the start, when I enter the app I can't see my squeeze players, if I hit apply in the server the immediately appear, same as before. I will try it out with a different phone just to rule out the possibility of being related with the phone itself. Just to be clear, on a different network, with only local disabled in the Android app and with "Don't announce Squeezebox players running in Spotify Connect mode in your network" disabled in the server, I should see the player in my phone! Correct!? You should probably tell us what you tried so far, and what the outcome was. Yes, LMS should transcode on the fly. But it depends on the server system (does it have all the necessary binaries), the file format, the player... Ok, I just did the test. I went to the Squeezebox server, hit apply in the plugin (I need to change something and hit apply, probably because it assumes that nothing changed and does not submit), and my players instantly appear in my Android phone with "Spotify Connect". Some minutes latter it disappears and I have to repeat the process to it to appear. In my /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log I don't have errors, actually I don't have nothing from today (the last line is from 2 days ago, any way to incresse the verbosity level?).
