The discussion is a bit (no pun intended) confusing right now and 'bit
perfect' is a misleading term. When using pcm, wav, aif, what is sent to
Squeezelite or UPnpBridge is bit perfect from an audio sample point of
view ("original sample"). Now, you are referring to "original file"

mainly broken for protocol handler that rely on Slim::Player::HTTPS and

Everything has been working fine on LMS, with artwork displaying
properly. I edited some tags earlier tonight and did a total rescan,
and now only a few of my albums, mostly early in the listings are
showing artwork. I tried restarting the computer (iMac), and that

I'm trying to convert MP3 to FLAC at LMS to enable some features on the
player - I realize this does nothing to the sound quality but there's a
reason I want to do this.
In the convert.conf file there's this which appears commented out:

If you can access the NAS/DSM interface from a browser but not the LMS
interface on the same NAS from the same browser then I would suspect the
synology firewall is causing a problem. Have you stopped the Logitech
Media Server package in the application center and restarted it? That

Recently setup a picoreplayer with LMS. Loving the solution and works
well. Got it working with a USB CD Drive, USB DAC and USB HDD which is
all perfect. Even sussed out how to get ALAC working.
However one thing i just cant seem to solve even looking through old

This has always confused me too.

would get get notified for 8.1.1, but not for nightlies. If I let it
install 8.1.1, I would then get notified for nightlies.

This has always confused me too.
The last tine I checked, it seemed that if I had 8.1.0 installed, I
would get get notified for 8.1.1, but not for nightlies. If I let it
install 8.1.1, I would then get notified for nightlies.
I always thought this was odd, but thought it was by design.

Updates reports "There's no updated Logitech Media Server version

Squeezelite-X requires Win 10. But it's probably just what the OP is
looking for, the option to choose output device.
