What do you mean by "running Java"?
It's just there, and runs in the background when it is needed.

Been so long since I had Java on any of my machines. But memory serves
me, that you can use the Ninite installer for installing Java. Should
take away alot of the issues in the installation process.
You further might need to activate the JavaBridge, from inside WE, for
the screen reader
Hi Bob,
You should be fine installing Java and using Java applications.
Testing the Java install has always been tricky, since it uses a web page, on
which the status of the installation was presented.
The page had an activex control which often didn't properly run and so you were
left hoping

Is there any problem running Java with WE 9.5.4?

Larry,
I'm still getting the Java script message on boot up, but I have solved
my sound card problems by uninstalling and reinstalling Window-Eyes. I
also uninstalled the Java access bridge cause I don't use it, but that
made no difference.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this annoying
That is what i did but then i have come across web sites that say things

I successfully downloaded and installed i.5.3. When I rebooted, my Java

I reverted back to 9.2 and it works again.

The Java Access Bridge will only help if the Java application in question uses
certain types of user interface components that support accessibility. In other
words, the Java Access Bridge doesn't automatically add accessibility to any
Java application. It is still up to the Java application

Hello Marc,
I had Java installed when I first got the computer, Windows 7, 64-bit, now
running Windows 9.1.
Java kept wanting to update and I could find no way to opt out of the
toolbars it wanted to install. So I uninstalled the program. I've

Probably not. While Javascript is used on almost every modern website, Java is
rarely used. Exceptions to this rule include online games and some proprietary
Web applications in the work place. And most Java applications have
compatibility issues with AT like screen readers.

I just got a reminder popping up that I've got a new version of Java that I
can install. Once again I was unable to click the tool tip. I know how to
route the mouse to the tooltip; how do I click on it?
I have tried to follow the steps in the manual.
Thanks.

Mr. Real, what version of Windows are you using? ...windows 7 or 10? ...if
using 10, notifications should pop up and you should go to the notification
center and install the java update. I hope that this helps.
Thanks,
Charlie
