Your problem is that deleted messages are not removed from IMAP folders
when you switch to another folder? That works here with Exchange and
MailMax.

My UW IMAP is used over a 2MBit connection (at least) to a fast remote
host (but one 5K km away from me) whereas Exchange IMAP is local.
V So far, I did not lose mail.
