What's the specified tolerance on the 17,000 uF? You probably have quite a
range to work within. If you are lucky, they specified something like

option p/n 12811903 in slot A5.
However, the slot is empty and there is no blank installed.
Someone has removed the option card but I am unable to figure out what it is.

I have recently obtained the holy grail for me - an 8566B.
They are rare as hens teeth in Australia!
I have a 8568B as well and my phase noise floor is somewhere way down there on
that machine ;)

Yes, I installed the missing little BNC jumper and set the switch to internal
reference.
As I mentioned before I am not too keen on disturbing the innards of these due
to cal reasons. I mean 22GHz is way up there..
So, nope, I left that sucker in there until I get room on my bench
