Something's wrong. My Kill-A-Watt measures 2 watts when Touch is idle (4
with a USB drive attached). The power supply is rated for 3A at 5V out,
or 15W max output, so 36W sounds very implausible.

another audio source. My old amp wasn't that nice, but I still locked
the Squeezebox volume so it matched the other components. I only really
use Squeezebox volume control for the systems where the Squeezebox is
the only music source.

MIS assume the standard gain curve (I also tought MIS the Boom curve
and made alternate volume display work on Boom). It would be nice if an
SP player could accurately report amp gain either for itself or a
remotely controlled Squeezebox.

new config works, you can
use the 'jobs' command to get the background task ID and 'kill %N' to
stop it. If you new config fails, sit tight and wait for the background
shell script to save you.

As I've suggested elsewhere, for performance reasons I think you'd want
to use a local SDHC card or USB drive for the cache directory for the
built-in Squeezebox Server instance, so an NFS setup would involve some
geeky Linux config file/command line work.

It should be cheaper and easier for them to expand the Squeezebox line
