I considered Pi before but it seems mybooklive is able to feed 24/192
files adequately.

I'm using Squeezer to turn SBT off.
I'm testing to actually control SBT at the unit, stop and let it go into
screensaver mode. Seems like it works better.
And to answer your question: EDO message does show up a boot screen.

The internal dac in touch supports "only" 96kHz so EDO wont help you
there . EDO makes the USB out an option and the spdiff output 192kHz .
Volume control in squeezebox is a 24 bit digital thing . I dont think

My only use is for headphones.
I see Matrix is going to release a new DAC/Headphone amp-'QUATTRO II '

Some USB sticks are horribly SLOW and that will definately cause
problems with high def files - 16bit 44.1k really should work OK
though.

The issues you'll find with hi-rez files played on the TOUCH using USB
connections or SD cards does *not* have anything to do with the sound
quality, etc. The problems, if they appear, would be related to
dropouts, buffering issues, stuttering, etc. The problem would *not* be

Also note that reinstalling LMS shouldn't have had any effect on EDO.
EDO is installed as an applet on the TOUCH itself, independent of the
LMS install. But I'm not an EDO user so maybe there is some LMS EDO
interaction that I'm not aware of.
