I didn't think a factory reset would downgrade the firmware either. That
must have come from mysqueezebox.com.

I just got a second hand Touch when connected or trying to connect to a
wireless network the Touch can not finish the bootsequence and reboots.
If connected and playing a spotify song the Touch reboots on skipping to
the next song or just during playback. Most of the time it won't boot
that far.

I wanted to write an update which is as follows -
I tried SPDIF from the SBT to the Chord Mojo and Bryston pre DACs , this
improved the SQ marginally but the HF's were still mostly as before
tizzy and the whole sound lacking weight.
Reading other forums I came across a post in diyAudio

Could you please double-check that the IP configuration sent to your
DHCP clients would be correct? In particular DNS and gateway settings
are obviously crucial.
