I think it's right click on the icon in the notification area. You'll see an option 'quit'. If this is confusing, stop music and then close the window. If music is being played and you minimize the player window, it will hide its GUI but still keeps playing.

Okay, stupid question. It's been a few months since I messed around with Trisquel, and I've forgotten the command to open the GUI from the command line. I boot to the command line first before entering the desktop environment. Thanks.
