Confirmed; I see it here too (on a Dell 1850) with
2.6.15-25-amd64-server. This worked with the IPMI kernel modules in
Breezy (and ipmitool worked fine, too):

Nothing reasonable doing yet, k3b uses (according to top) 99% cpu and an

Using Dapper fully updated.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open Add/Remove Applications
2) Tick some programs
3) Click apply
4) A prompt appears asking for an administrative password
5) Enter nothing and click ok
6) No error is displayed - it calculates dependencies etc again and

from the Help menu (and pressing F1 does nothing).

http://launchpad.net/rosetta. This is the place where translation teams
actively work on making Ubuntu more useful in their language. If you want
to change a certain text, Rosetta is the right place for it.

I used Desktop CD to install Kubuntu on a Packard Bell laptop (E3
series). After launching the live CD process I installed the distro on
my hd.
All steps went on without problem, I didn't notice a clear warning about
Grub installation

R40-series is broken. But with the 2.6.15-packages the system booted

Thanks for your comment. I'm closing the bug as 1) 'offline' means:
'don't synchronize with IMAP, POP, etc', 2) Loading of Images can be
turned off and on in the preferences. I can't see this as a bug and if
we were to change the behaviour completely, this should be discussed
upstream.

Aha. It appears I tried to install to a 1.6 GB HD and the desktop
distribution requires 3 GB. Apparently I ran out of space.
Though it was a little misleading that a LiveCD of less than 700 MB was
able to install and run a workable desktop environment.
