Updating the drivers from xorg-edgers launchpad repository seems to fix my
problem.
At the moment I did not get back graphics corruptions in KDE/qt apps.
I updated this packages:
xserver-xorg-video-ati
xserver-xorg-video-radeon
xserver-xorg-core
libgl1-mesa-dri
libgl1-mesa-glx
Could someone patch the kernel and build the packages for us to see if it works?
Otherwise, Ubuntu Oneiric will be released with a kernel where this popular
chip does not work.

I have the same problem with an integrated ATI Radeon 1250. Kubuntu 10.04 64bits
The screen flashes always occur when you modify screen settings from
systemsettings, or launching KrandRTray. Launching any application installed on
Wine too. The display flashes for a few seconds..

Suspend to RAM fails in Kubuntu 10.04 64bit on my PC (ASUS M2A-VM HDMI, 1GB
RAM). Sometimes suspended to RAM works the first time, sometimes not. Then
failure is more common.

Is it supposed to KMS should help to identify the native resolution of LCD? Is
it supposed to set the resolution from SystemSettings then it must be
remembered in next login without any xorg.conf configuration?

I've seen that in Ubuntu 13.04 there are many problems with notebooks with

I tried to install the nvidia drivers from additional drivers (jockey-kde) or
manually, and the nvidia drivres fail to load. The system always loads the
Nouveau driver. Also, the nvidia-settings icon does not appear in the launcher
menu. If I run nvidia-settings manually,
