Ok...thanks Paul, will give it a try later.

Hi Paul,
this is very, very strange.
I installed the standard 3.5 version and
Hi Greg,
Thanks for your response.
Any thoughts how the proper option can be found again?
I haven't changed anything... the pi was always connected to my external
Dac (Aune S16).

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the swift response.
Maybe I miss something but so far I did the following steps:
i) insitu to 4.0.0 => successful
ii) "USB audio" was already chosen hence I didn't need to change the
audio output
iii) disable "built in audio" => save => reboot
Now Squeezelite is not
I was on 4.0.0 b4 and just did the in-situ.
Everything went fine until I had to disable the build in audio in order
to be able to set my output settings (for my USB Dac).
Because after the reboot Squeezelite didn't start again.
Restart of it or reboot of pCP didn't work either.
I did another

1. Congratulations for the new site. Really like it. Maybe add the link
to the list of "working USB Dacs" to it since - from my point of view -
it's very helpful information for others.
2. Thanks for the 4.0 version. I updated via insitu the standard
version. In my case not all settings were

OK... Thanks.
Strange though.
I'm currently using a "no-name" SD card. Not sure if it would help to
get a "brand-name" card. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Just out of curiosity, Paul, should insitu updates work either LMS is
installed on the SD card or somewhere else?
Or are

Hi Paul,
just edited my former post. Found the solution :-)
Thanks again.

Aaa...never used beta mode ;-)
After enabling the "Native/DoP DSD Squeezelite" binary, DSD 64 is played
fine and shown as "PCM 352" on my DAC's display (was DSD 64 under pCP
v2.00).
DSD 128 files are played but without any sound. Display also shows

Thanks Paul,
I'm still lost where i can find this.
If i look at the "Squeezelite

Thanks for getting back to me, sbp.
The content of the cfg file is as follows:
I´m currently a bit stuck.
Insitu didn´t work for me (but this is not 3.5 related, it didn´t work
for earlier version, too). Haven´t digged deeper why this doesn´t work
hence I flashed the image.
Filled out "Audio Output device" (USB Audio), saved and filled out the
"Output settings" which I

Many thanks for the swift response. Much appreciated.
Will give it a try.
Thanks pCP team

Quick ones:
i) can insitu be used if LMS is located on a NAS (or has LMS nothing to
do with this)?
ii) in case insitu will be used to which version of pCP will be upgraded
(normal or audio optimized)?
marflao's Profile:
OK...most likely a total noob question.
I´m running pCP 2.0 w Squeezelite v1.8-658 successfully on my RPi2.
The Pi2 is connected to my external DAC which is able to play files up
to DSD 128.
Now let´s assume I would get a new DAC or active speakers with built-in
DAC which can only play files up

Thanks Paul,
Maybe I'll also try the "non-audio" version to find out if it works
better.
If not...as mentioned earlier, the

Although the advice "never touch a running system" is a good one, I was
still keen to "explore" something new.
So I upgraded from pCP v 2.00 to v3.21 Audio but having some
difficulties playing dsf files.
With the v2.00 everything is fine, my USB Dac plays DSD 64 & 128 files
without the clicks

Guys,
I´m facing a strange issue and don´t know why it currently happens.
When I set my Dac (Aune S16) in standby and turn it back on again I need
to restart Squeezelite (although Squeezelite is shown as "running" on
the pCP page) to hear some sound.
This kind of workaround needs to be

Yep...saw that both version only differs a couple Euros..only the new
power source raises it. Hmm..

Dear all,
I´m currently using a Pi2 with pCP 2.00 (LMS 7.9.0-062 running on a Syno
NAS) and would like to get another Pi.
Would there be any advantage in getting the Pi3 (and running it with
pCP)? Positive impacts I´m thinking of would be e. g. faster library
scanning in LMS or maybe faster
Got a strange situation with my Pi2 & picoreplayer 2.0.
I created a playlist with a couple flac and dsf albums. When the song
changed from flac to dsf it continued to play.
But once the dsf album was over and another album in flac should start
there was no sound at all.
Even starting another

Just a quick question (hopefully there is a simple answer to it): What
steps have to be done in case I see the status "Squeezelite is not
running"?
While plugging my Pi2 from one USB Dac to another one the above status
occurred.
First thing I tried was to " Restart"... without success. Then
Quick update on my side:
After following Martin´s (pinkdot) proposal to install the LMS Beta
version on my NAS the audio scan version 0.95 was available ;-)
Now DSD64 songs (in dsf) are even played without any hiccups so far via
the piCorePlayer.
Only DSD 128 seems not to be possible (no sound

Maybe a dumb question but how can I shut down the Pi2 correctly without
endangering to corrupt the SD card?
Would it be sufficient to use the turn on/off button (see upper right)
first and and after the piCorePlayer is turned off then to unplug the
power cord from the Pi?

Thanks so far.

Alright..I proceed a bit ;-)
OK...seems that my BOTW PSU I used for my Touch doesn´t have enough
"juice" (it´s only 1.5A) so I used another LPS (5V/3A).
Now I saw the boot up section on my TV.
After that I used the IP adrress which is mentioned after the boot up
section and connect successfully
Got it...well almost.
While I now hear the songs after I added the corresponding value
("sysdefault:CARD=G1V5") in the Output setting field the correct sample
rates aren´t shown in the display of my DAC.
No matter what song is played the DAC always shows it as 48k (and not as
44,1 if i played a
t:CARD=G1V5,DEV=0"
