Assuming it is running but CloudStack thinks its stopped, mark it as Running in

Sonali,
There have been some changes recently and as luck would have it today I am
working on a blog article for www.shapeblue.com covering the correct way to
configure HA in XenServer. It's due to go live later today, I'll respond to
this thread once it's live.

I believe it's always better to provide a faster single vCPU than multiple
Slower vCPUs as there are overheads on the Guest OS and Hypervisor when dealing
with multiple vCPUs.

I like to think of Advanced Network with SG as simply multiple Basic Networks,
each on its own VLAN. You have the same features (or rather lack of) as you
would with a Basic Zone, but you have multiple Guest Networks.

If you want NAT and Load Balancing you need to do this on the Physical Device
which terminates the VLANs etc (this will be outside of CloudStack)

and if required to front this network with a Load
Balancer and Firewall to provide additional services, but you need to manage
these devices separately so is not a typical configuration for a Public Cloud,
but could be used in a Private Cloud.

Tilak,
The console proxy feature connects you to the local console session of the VM
via the Hypervisor, hence only one connection is allowed.
For more than one use to connect to and manage a VM simply use SSH to connect
to the VM etc

An alternative to using DevCloud is to follow this article and deploy
CloudStack on VirtualBox using a XenServer Hypervisor
http://shapeblue.com/cloudstack/virtualbox-test-env/
It’s a configuration which is very close to a Production setup so perfect for
test and demo etc
Regards
Geoff
Hi Tilak
This is exactly the use case for the Projects feature. As long as the accounts
your two users belong to are in the same domain you can create a project and
add them both to it. Any VMS created belong to the project and you can add and
remove users at will.

a
better option is to install the free version of ESXi then add a CentOS VM for
CloudStack and a XenServer VM as your Hypervisor. If you configure ESXi for
nested virtualisation your XenServer will support HVM VMs, unlike on Virtualbox
which will only support PV VMs

Your Public Traffic needs to be exactly that, 'Public' - It is supposed to be
Public IPs directly connected to the Internet without any Firewalls in the way.
The Virtual Router is the Firewall for each Isolated Guest Network.

Change CPU/RAM (via compute offering)
Change Affinity Groups
The Hypervisor which will run the VM is only chosen when the VM starts, so any
Hypervisor with access to the Shared Storage for the Cluster could start the VM.
