[SOGo] cron errors

2014-12-21 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I get many mails like these:

2014-12-20 19:08:01.348 sogo-tool[18222] Failed to create lock directory
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.lck/.GNUstepDefaults.lck‘ -

2014-12-20 17:40:01.575 sogo-tool[16782] Failed to create lock directory
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.lck/.GNUstepDefaults.lck' -
/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.lck/.GNUstepDefaults.lck

Why does the cron.d/sogo task produce such messages? And what can I do to fix
this issue? I don’t want to add /dev/null 21 ;-)

It’s version 2.2.12 and this happens since months (just never asked on this
list)

And by the way: It doesn’t matter, if I try to change the * * * * stuff to
larger intervals. Same problem

Happy holidays and thanks in advance

Christian

 Hi,

 The only reasonable explanation that came to my mind would be a race
 between sogo-tool and sogo-ealarms-notify, as they run both every
 minute, but I'm not even sure this is possible. I'm testing chaining the
 commands as

 * * * * *  sogo /usr/sbin/sogo-ealarms-notify
 /usr/sbin/sogo-tool expire-sessions 60

 to see if this changes anything.

 This does change as I've not experienced any problem during 4 days with
 this chaining.

 Maybe this should be changed in the shipped crontab?

As I am experiencing the same problems since decades, I finally give your hint
a try. I just set up my cron as yours. I will report back, if this solves the
problem at my side, too.

Thanks

[SOGo] Macros for LDAP filter

2014-12-05 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

are there some macros that can be used with the „filter value in a type ldap
configuration?

I have an attribute i.e. maildrop: localp...@foobar.org and I would like to
have a LDAP filter like:

filter = (maildrop=%u@*)“

There is no other attribute that is identical to the localpart from maildrop.
So a filter with a macro would be nice. Does it exist?

Kind regards

TB 24 is working over https. 31.1.0 is not. So at least there is a difference

Indeed! It is a problem with https here. I switched to pure http and now it

 Are you using a self signed certificate? In the past, while testing SOGo we
 have had problems with thunderbird, because TB was not accepting https

I guess it is some kind of bug in Thunderbird. I always used a RapidSSL
certificate. I had installed the intermediate CA in Thunderbird before
installing SOGo-Add-Ons. And this worked til some time, but not with the
current version anymore.

The interesting thing is that I switched to http right now which works, but the
SOGo-connections are still over https and Thunderbird seems to be fine with the
RapidSSL-CA and our certificate. This is weird. Why is Thunderbird accepting
connections with this certificate for SOGo, but not for the Add-Ons?

Anyways, switching to http, things now work.

Thanks for your help and your feedback that gave me enough information to solve
the problem (even if it’s a workaround)

[SOGo] updates.php not working

2014-09-03 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I have installed latest SOGo stable on Ubuntu 14.04.1 and have modified
updates.php and sogo-integrator. The integrator XPI is working and connects
after a restart to my web server:

Thunderbird does not.

I played with the minVersion and maxVersion. But whatever I put in there, it
does not work with my current version 31.1.0.

What am I missing. That worked with older Thunderbird versions. Any ideas?

[SOGo] Sync issues with iPhone and iPad

2014-03-25 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

since some days, I have sync issues with iPhone and iPad. And I do not know
what happened. Only thing in the last days was an iOS 7.1 update.

Events get perfectly synced between an iPad 4th generation and the SOGo-server.
Both directions. But these events do not get synced to iPhone 5s and iPad 2nd
Generation. All devices on iOS 7.1. Even refreshing the calendars on both of
the problematic devices do not solve the problem. I disabled the calendars and
re-enabled them. Same problems.

[SOGo] Sieve problem

2013-12-27 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I created an imap folder with German Umlauts. The folder is displayed correctly
in the SOGo web interface and also in Apple Mail

On the filesystem side Dovecot has encoded the folder name

When I log into the web interface and choose setting and create a simple
fileinto rule, I get a list of all available folders. Unfortunately the imap
folder with the German Umlauts is displayed wrong. It seems SOGo does use the
Dovecot encoded folder name and not the name as is seen in the Email view of
the web interface

This creates a wrong sieve script and if the rule is triggered, Dovecot creates
a new folder, which looks exactly like the encoded version

I wanted to open a bug report on bugs.sogo.nu, logged in an clicked on report
issue, which brings me to a page telling me that my session has expired and
redirects me to the dashboard of the bug tracking system. Logging out and back
in does not give me the chance to report the described issue. So I post it here
to the list and hope that someone might help me

Kind regards
Christian

Re: [SOGo] Please HELP - Big Problem

2013-12-10 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 Please help me! I update the Ubuntu 12.04 SOGo 2.0.7 to 2.1.1a,
 and the SOGo is dead. Not logging to the web interface.

 ERROR(-[NGBundleManager bundleWithPath:]): could not create
 bundle for path: '/usr/share/GNUstep/Libraries/gnustep-base/Versions
 /1.22/Resources/SSL.bundle'

Did you follow upgrade guidelines and are you using /etc/sogo/sogo.conf? My
best guess is that you still use /home/sogo/… and did not create
/etc/sogo/sogo.conf and upgrading in Ubuntu might just have installed the
default example configuration file?

If so, see the documentation PDF at the end.

2013-08-30 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi Francis,

 Very much thanks in advance. Would be so nice to get a (positive) feedback
 here :)

 I hate to be the one bringing bad news, but categories are not supported for
 LDAP address books.

I knew you would answer, if I address abOU :)

 Attributes for searches are also static and can't be modified. Would be nice
 to allow search on all indexed attributes though.

 You could fill a feature request in the BTS (http://sogo.nu/bugs).

I have opened a feature request. Crossing my fingers on that :)

 as I successfully got my second LDAP address book working, I am looking for a
 LDAP attribute, which covers the category field. Is there such an attribute
 or can I edit some SOGo template to extend the global search to also look for

Nobody, who has some idea for that?

I already have found the template, but of course it is useless to edit it,
because the SOGo-code would not support it, does it?

So my hope goes to the LDAP attribute for the category. How does the abOU
code handle categories? If I use LDAP to store my personal address book in
LDAP, there must exist some attribute as well, does it?

 Do you have the same in /etc/ldap/ldap.conf? (wherever it is on your system)

[SOGo] LDAP problems

2013-08-27 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I have a running SOGo installation under Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS. Version 2.0.7-1

I have an external LDAP server, where we have hundreds of contacts stored and I
wanted to integrate this into SOGo. Therefor I added a second LDAP instance to
/etc/sogo/sogo.conf.

The first block is from the main SOGo server and the second block is the
external server:

SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = mail;
baseDN = ou=people,dc=deltaweb,dc=de;
bindAsCurrentUser = NO;
bindDN = cn=proxyuser,dc=deltaweb,dc=de;
bindFields = (
mail
);
bindPassword = ***;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
hostname = localhost;
id = LDAP;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
},
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = uid;
UIDFieldName = uid;
baseDN = ou=wl,dc=deltaweb,dc=de;
bindDN = cn=proxyuser,dc=deltaweb,dc=de;
bindPassword = ***;
canAuthenticate = NO;
displayName = Privatkunden Adressen;
hostname = bordergw.deltaweb.de;
id = LDAP2;
isAddressBook = YES;
encryption = STARTTLS;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
}
);

Users can login and they can see the global address book Privatkunden
Adressen. But searching does not succeed.

Aug 27 18:50:07 sogod [19791]: [ERROR] 0x0x7f2526818480[LDAPSource] Could not
bind to the LDAP server bordergw.deltaweb.de (389) using the bind DN:
cn=proxyuser,dc=deltaweb,dc=de
Aug 27 18:50:07 sogod [19791]: [ERROR] 0x0x7f2526818480[LDAPSource]
NSException: 0x7f252697a1d0 NAME:LDAPException REASON:operation startTLS
failed: Connect error (0xFFF5) INFO:(null)

Trying to contact the LDAP server directly from the command line:

ldapsearch -ZZ -h bordergw.deltaweb.de -xWD cn=proxyuser,dc=deltaweb,dc=de -b
ou=wl,dc=deltaweb,dc=de

Works perfectly.

So at the moment I do not know where to look for the mistake I did. The LDAP
server certificate is brand new (CAcert). The CA is also included into
/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt, so I guess SOGo should have a chance to
validate the server certificate. At least ldapsearch with a valid ldaprc works.

Any suggestions here? Would be so cool, if that worked :)

Kind regards

Not sure what causes the seg fault. You could try a dirty hack and edit the
init script and add an exit 0 after the first comments. Then trying

apt-get install -f

and if that works, removing the exit 0 again and see, if you can stop/start
the service cleanly after that.

But no guarantees.

 uick follow-up: this bug has been fixed in the upcoming 2.0.4 release. Notice
 that with OS X, SOGo only returns the personal addressbook along with the
 first shared source. However, you can control which of your shared sources is
 returned since the list is now sorted first.

 Ticket: http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=2099

First of all, thanks for fixing this. Just a short question: Is your described
limitation based on Contacts.app or the current state with SOGo? (I guess, for
most users this is no real problem; just a general question)

Re: [SOGo] Missing addressbooks

2013-01-15 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi Francis,

 Instead of using collections, Contacts.app defines special vCards to group
 contacts. This format looks similar to our own so-called vList. SOGo has
 the advantage to offer both: you define vLists inside DAV collections (the
 addressbooks). Contacts.app creates groups inside a single collection.

 An Apple group is defined like this:

 BEGIN:VCARD
 VERSION:3.0
 PRODID:-//Apple Inc.//AddressBook 7.1//EN
 N:group from Contacts.app
 FN:group from Contacts.app
 X-ADDRESSBOOKSERVER-KIND:group
 X-ADDRESSBOOKSERVER-MEMBER:urn:uuid:c4eff15c-f26f-4759-a89e-43ac79c92cd7
 REV:2013-01-15T15:25:20Z
 UID:6cbbeb5c-b339-48f1-87a6-4edee17822b5
 END:VCARD

 A vList is defined like this:

 BEGIN:VLIST
 UID:26F2-50F57600-1-FE99460.vlf
 VERSION:1.0
 FN:group from SOGo
 CARD;FN=john doe:c4eff15c-f26f-4759-a89e-43ac79c92cd7.vcf
 END:VLIST

 SOGo should eventually convert on-the-fly collections (and vList?) to Apple
 groups for OS X clients. Notice that Contacts on iOS has proper collections
 support. We can suspect Apple to eventually have an identical code base for
 Contacts on iOS and OS X, but I wonder which format they'll use!

this is really interesting and thank you very much for your detailed
explanation :)

[SOGo] Still address book issues

2013-01-07 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

sorry if I come back with an old question.

I really have big trouble with Apple Contacts.app not showing the personal
address book. Instead it lists the global LDAP address book, which normally
is not listed. Workaround is adding a new address book and copying over all
data from personal to newly created one.

Furthermore you can not search the global address book in Contacts.app.

This is tracked here:

http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=2099

I am stuck on this. It is open since mid of November last year. I don't know
what to do

Kind regards

Re: [SOGo] Multi-User Login not working reliably? Something broken?

2013-01-06 Thread Christian Rößner
 I have a fresh install of SOGo 2.0.3 (Ubuntu 32Bit), and performed the setup
 as described in the official guide. The users in my LDAP directory are all
 without the @domain suffix. For example I have two users with uid info:

 uid=info,ou=users_domainA,dc=local
 uid=info,ou=users_domainB,dc=local

 1. Issue

 If I use SOGoLoginDomains, the system authenticates the user against the
 selected domain, so entering info with password of domainB but selected
 domainA will result in an wrong password error. Good.

 If I do not use SOGoLoginDomains, he will try both info accounts and match it
 by the password - and sometimes messes up (log in to the wrong info account,
 if that account just logged out). Bad - He should not allow that at all, the
 user must specify info@domainA or info@domainB to log in and the system
 should grab the domain from there! Is this a feature or a bug? Can I change
 that behaviour?

 2. Issue

 The internal system email after login is constructed as uid@domain, but
 sometimes he forgets the @domain suffix and tries to authenticate against
 IMAP/SMTP with just the uid. I can overcome this by using
 SOGoForceIMAPLoginWithEmail , but that option is missing for SMTP.

 Secondly I would like to know, why with one domain he always added the
 domain-suffix, but not for the other. Any Ideas? Am I the only one?

 To reset my system, I drop the database and flush the memcached, could
 there be some leftover configuration somewhere else?

can you show the output of defaults read as user sogo with passwords removed?

- the field that returns the IMAP login name for the user

taken from SOGo docs (installation guide 2.0.2, page 20)

 is part of the LDAP user configuration? So each user can have his own

 the LDAP user or is it in the Postgresql database? Is there such a field also
 for smtp?

 You use exampleserver-de for the domain-name, and not exampleserver.de
 why?

To be honest? I had copied an example from Patrick Ben Koetter and adopted it
to my needs :) Maybe he may say something to this aspect. But I think you may
specify whatever you like, as it seems just to be an unique name for a block.

Re: [SOGo] Missing addressbooks

2012-12-24 Thread Christian Rößner
 It is SOGo-2.0.3 here on Ubuntu 12.04. LDAP/PostgreSQL setup. Multi-domain.

 Here is my part from LDAP. Is there some new setting that could cause this
 changed behavior? I haven't looked for a while in contacts, as Apple Mail
 remembers all addresses automatically and there was no need to look directly
 into contacts.

 roessner-network-solutions-com = {
   SOGoMailDomain = roessner-network-solutions.com;
   SOGoUserSources = (
   {
   CNFieldName = cn;
   IDFieldname = uid;
   IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
   KindFieldName = Kind;
   MailFieldNames = (
   mail
   );
   MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
   UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
   baseDN =
 ou=roessner-network-solutions-com,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;
   bindAsCurrentUser = NO;
   bindDN = hidden;
   bindFields = (
   rnsMSRecipientAddress,
   uniqueIdentifier
   );
   bindPassword = hidden;
   canAuthenticate = YES;
   displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
   encryption = STARTTLS;
   hostname = roessner1.roessner-net.de db.roessner-net.de;
   id = directory0;
   isAddressBook = YES;
   port = 389;
   scope = SUB;
   type = ldap;
   }
   );
 };

Additional notes: I have another SOGo account, which is version 2.0.2a. That
one works perfectly. So it seems something is different in 2.0.3a. Regression
bug?

I still see that I can not confirm foreign invitations of other SOGo instances.
No mail goes out to the remote side, if accepting an event, even I have enabled
all necessary SOGo options.

Would someone like to test this with me? So I could create a clean bug report
and find out what works and what not? It seems that my issue is Mountain Lion
related and iOS6 works. At the other hand, if an event gets moved to another
day and I receive a confirmation request on my iPhone, it is impossible to
acknowledge it on the phone. This in turn seems to work on the Mac. Maybe this
all is client related?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

[SOGo] SMTP AUTH with TLS

Hi,

just read about AMTP AUTH in 2.0.2 and looked at the documentation. Also
following some threads here.

Is it possible to speak STARTTLS/587 to a SMTP server? Or planed in upcoming

Thanks

[SOGo] Multi domain setup

2012-10-24 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I have created three user sources for three domains. When I log in into one
domain and go to address book and do a global address search, I can find people
from other user sources. I already have reformatted my LDAP tree to have one
ou for each domain, but that does not work. Also setting a filter does not
shrink the search (i.e. filter = (mail=*@roessner-network-solutions.com)).

I need to use bindAsCurrentUser, as I am using a LDAP-user with read access on
LDAP to find the user logging in. The user itself can change his password.

This is my user sources section:

sogod domains '{
exampleserver-de = {
SOGoMailDomain = exampleserver.de;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldname = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
baseDN =
ou=exampleserver-de,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = hidden;
bindFields = (
rnsMSRecipientAddress,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = hidden;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = server1 server2;
id = directory2;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
}
);
};
roessner-net = {
SOGoMailDomain = roessner-net.com;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldname = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
baseDN =
ou=roessner-net,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = hidden;
bindFields = (
rnsMSRecipientAddress,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = hidden;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = server1 server2;
id = directory1;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
}
);
};
roessner-network-solutions-com = {
SOGoMailDomain = roessner-network-solutions.com;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldname = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
baseDN =
ou=roessner-network-solutions-com,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = hidden;
bindFields = (
rnsMSRecipientAddress,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = hidden;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = server1 server2;
id = directory0;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
}
);
};
}'

Does someone know how to solve this? I really would like to give people who are
interested to SOGo testing accounts on the exampleserver.de domain, but I do
not want them to see anything on other domains, as I also use that server for
my own business stuff.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Re: [SOGo] Multi domain setup

2012-10-24 Thread Christian Rößner
Additional info:

 sogod domains '{
exampleserver-de = {
   SOGoMailDomain = exampleserver.de;
   SOGoUserSources = (
   {
   CNFieldName = cn;
   IDFieldname = uid;
   IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
   KindFieldName = Kind;
   MailFieldNames = (
   mail
   );
   MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
   UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
   baseDN =
 ou=exampleserver-de,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;

   bindAsCurrentUser = YES;

even if I set this to NO, the problem remains. So this is something different.

   bindDN = hidden;
   bindFields = (
   rnsMSRecipientAddress,
   uniqueIdentifier
   );
   bindPassword = hidden;
   canAuthenticate = YES;
   displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
   encryption = STARTTLS;
   hostname = server1 server2;
   id = directory2;
   isAddressBook = YES;
   port = 389;
   scope = SUB;
   type = ldap;
   userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
   }
   );
};

...

Any suggestions? Ideas?

Kind regards

Hi,

When I switched to multi domain, I forgot to remove the existing
SOGoUserSources setting:

defaults delete sogod SOGoUserSources

solved it.

Re: [SOGo] outlook anywhere

2012-10-22 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 Can someone point me to docs how to configure/user the new outlook anywhere
 feature?

 I suspect I should configure something but I cannot find anything about it in
 the manual.

really not sure, if I understand correctly, so please forgive if it is nonsense.

Maybe you can use automx with sogosync for Outlook-Anywhere?

[SOGo] Nightly built broken web interface

2012-10-06 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

this morning I upgraded the nightly-built to 2.0.0.20121006-1

It seems that paths have changes for WebServices. There is a new folder
ckeditor. I tried modifying my Alias statements, but not sure what to do there.
Does someone know, how to get SOGo running again?

Here is my nginx config part:

Currently I have a working Cal/CardDAC and mail account on the device. I added
an Exchange account and got all check marks. But then after some seconds, the
password dialog pops up and tells me my password was incorrect. Which service
is used for authentication? Is it the IMAP-server or SOGo? Does the device
contact all those services by itself or is authentication always be done from
sogosync and I should see login attempts from my web server? If the latter is
the case, then neither Mail nor Ca*DAV seems to work here.

I use https/imap+tls all over. Could this be a problem? I replaced /notls/norsh
with /tls/norsh. Do I need to add certs CA stuff somewhere? Maybe things fail,
because SSL fails?

Thanks in advance

Re: [SOGo] CardDAV iPhone

2012-07-24 Thread Christian Rößner
Moin,

 Apple in the instructions for CardDAV says port 8843:
 The port is one of the only things, that you can configure for CardDAV on
 the iPhone. And while the iPhone is not complaining and there are
 connections on the SOGo side, I don't think this is the problem here.
 As expected changing the port does not change anything (else).

 Any hints?

did you try to add a contact on the iPhone itself and checked, if that one got
synced to SOGo?

Also concerning the port: If 8800, then this is plain TCP. If 8843, you chose
to use SSL. As far as I remember myself, it is necessary to store the CA on the
phhne, if self-signed certs are used.

Re: [SOGo] ZEG and LDAP

2012-07-23 Thread Christian Rößner
 I downloaded and isntalled the current SOGo ZEG 1.3.16a.vmdk. When I try to
 access the LDAP Server with webmin, it says: The LDAP browser cannot be used
 : The password in the LDAP server configuration is encrypted and cannot be
 used by Webmin

 How to solve this?

I think, you can not solve this. But you can use the ldap-utils on the command
line. If I remember correctly, the password is sogo for
cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com.

ldapsearch -xWD cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com -b dc=example,dc=com

works here…

Re: [SOGo] LDAP or sogo address book in thunderbird

2012-07-15 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 Thunderbird seems to forget all the time the settings of my preferred
 address book, the cardDav or ldap ones. this happens randomly, or if i
 restart TB
 has someone else seen this behavior also?
 Hi,

 yes, we did. We had exactly the same behavior here.
 To fix it we had to :
   • modify the sogo-integrator with correct settings (I mean real systems
 names, not fake informations) as specified in the Thunderbird Installation
 guide (http://www.sogo.nu/english/downloads/documentation.html) chapter 4
   • install the thunderbird extensions is this order : lightning,
 connector, integrator.
 Now it's working properly, we do not loose the settings anymore (I agree, it
 was very annoying :D)
 Hope this help.

today I saw the same problem and I remember having had seen a solution here on
the list. I found your answer, but it does not work for me. I had completely
removed Library/Thunderbird from my Mac and followed your 2 list points. But
after installing the integrator again, I still can not change the LDAP address
book. Tested twice here :-(

What is the user_prefs(…) option? Maybe I could put this into the integrator
(or even the forced settings, which are tested on every restart?)

[SOGo] Webinterface and new contacts

2012-07-13 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

kust a short question:

If I add a new contact in the web interface and only give a mobile number and
save it, by re-opening the card, I see that the mobile number got copied to the
work field as well. If I remove it from there and save again, on re-opening it
still is in the work field, too. Is this a normal behavior?

I use nightly builts. Tested on the Friday 13th built *g*

Best wishes

 Hi you need to provision your new domain with openchange (samba4)

I am interested in this as well :-)

Can I see somehow, what is configured with this openchange_provision command? I
look at the --help, but did not really understand, what needs to be done to
manage stuff or in case of this thread topic - adding a new domain. So do you
have an example for this please? If you don't matter.

Hi,

 I am eye handicapped and I have to invert the screen most of the time. In
 the settings dialog E-Mail, when defining sieve rules, the field that is
 required has a red background and black text. Even if I had good eyes, this
 is a not optimized combination. But if you invert the screen, the red
 background becomes light purple and the black becomes white. So it is nearly
 impossible to see anything anymore. So my question is: can this be changed?
 Or can I change this anywhere?

 I did a small change. Let me know what you think :

Re: [SOGo] Win XP, Outlook 2007 and Funambol

2012-07-05 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 I have major problems, getting Outlook 2007 running on Windows XP with the
 Funambol syncMAL client. I tested both version 10.0.4 and 10.1.6 of the
 client.

 What I do:

 1. Install the sync client as Administrator and chose All Users folder for
 the mediahub folder
 2. Start Outlook and create a new data file called SOGo.pst
 3. Make it default
 4. Close Outlook and restart it
 5. Remove the old Outlook.pst file from the list of data files.
 6. Go to the sync client and configure it.
 7. First sync, I tell the sync client to retrieve all data from server and
 replace Outlook data.
 8. This works!
 9. Back to Outlook I import all data from the old Outlook.pst. I check the
 contacts and calendars and see that all data got imported.
 10. I press sync in the Funambol client

 And now the sync client tells me that it does not find Outlook. I tells me
 that Outlook seems not be installed.

 I tested this three times. Always the same result.

 Is this a permissions problem? If so, where can I look at? I am not a Windows
 expert.

 Many thanks in advance

sorry, if I ask again, but is there somebody out there, who got this
combination XP/OL2007 and SOGo using Funambol working? I know that SOGo is
already going towards 2.0, but some customers do not like beta software (that
is not my opinion) and also want to give this release some time, before testing
this. So I actually do not have any chance other than using Funambol. So any
help would really be great.

Thanks in advance

Re: [SOGo] ANN: automx - automated mail account configuration

2012-06-18 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 Is this project moving forward? I still don't see any rpms? I checked
 the automx mailing list and no announcement there either.

As far as I can tell, automx is running under Centos6.2. All required
dependencies are in the standard repositories. So it shouldn't be too hard to
prepare RPM packages. Last time I had done RPMs was under SuSE 8.4. That's a
while ago; hope that has not changed too much since these days ;-)

[SOGo] Funambol Hypersonic-PostgreSQL

2012-06-14 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

does somebody know how to change the hypersonic database to PostgreSQL? I tried
following this guide:

https://wiki.ow2.org/sync4j/Wiki.jsp?page=HOWTOConfigureTheBundledVersionToUseMySQLOrPostgresql

but without success. The tables got all installed so far, by running the
install script, but after that I can not connect with the funamboladmin tool
anymore, because it tells me that the host is unreachable.

I have seen that the ZEG-image is built so and was interested in giving this a
try.

Thanks in advance

Re: [SOGo] Syncing Multiple Calendars with Funambol to Outlook

2012-05-24 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 funambol-sogo-1.0.8.s4j

this morning I tested the funambol-sogo-1.0.9.s4j dev thing :-) Syncing now
partially works. We have tested a lot.

1. Syncing from Outlook-Funambol-SOGo
* If you create events or tasks, the time is always set to 2:00am. And you can
not change this in Outlook afterwards.
* Also the reminder is not set. And you also can not change it afterwards.

2. SOGo-Webinterface-SOGo, SOGo-Funambol-Outlook
* If you enter an event (maybe also task) in the webGUI, the time is not
synchronized correctly.

So in summary something is wrong with handling time.

The java exceptions are gone. So this seems to work right now.
We see log entries like this:

 Therefore, as long as all your users keep the same value of UIDFieldName, all
 their data will be kept intact. This is why, on the other hand, a
 multi-domain configuration must ensure that all uid are unique, even between
 domains.

thanks for your answer that is really helpful. One question: if you ssay
UIDFieldName, do you meed the name of the attribute, let's say uid, or
attribute+value, let's say uid=croessner. In the latter case that _had_ changed
and your explanation would give me the answer, why I ran into trouble :-)

Hi,

 wher my user where named

 uid=croessner,ou=sogo,ou=it,dc=roessner,dc=de
 uid=eroessner,ou=sogo,ou=it,dc=roessner,dc=de

 We started populating the server with addresses and calendar data, but after
 some time I thought by myself that this subtree is duplicate data in my DIT,
 as I also have similar objects in

 ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de

moving a subtree destroyed SOGo. So today I made backups from all address books
and calendars directly from the web interface. After that I stopped SOGo,
deleted all databases in Postgres and started SOGo again. After importing all
data, I watched the logs and now the bindAsCurrentUser problem is solved.
Looking at the SQL table names, they have definitely changed.

This also closes my bug report. Anyways, thanks for following this thread. I
did not know that I can not rearrange the LDAP structure, when SOGo was already
populated.

Hi,

 Ok. I will try that.

I had a similar problem. But not SOGo-version related. I activated the
ChangePassword feature in SOGo and tested it. After this, I had the exact same
situation on my machine. Calendars were still working, but mail disappeared.
Checking the userPassword field in LDAP, I saw that the password was written in
clear text and not SSHA. So all my mail services quit working with that
password scheme. Are you using some kind of encrypted passwords and did you use
the SOGo option I talked about?

Re: [SOGo] Syncing Multiple Calendars with Funambol to Outlook

2012-05-22 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 I don't know if the problem described here is a bug, a matter of
 misconfiguration or something else.
 We don't know either right now.

 Which version of the Funambol SOGo Connector are you using? 1.0.8 or the
 development version (v1.0.9)?

I speak for Patrick right now, as we work at the same project. Currently we use

funambol-8.7.0-x64.tgz
funambol-sogo-1.0.8.s4j

as it was listed in the documentation (I know that there are new versions, but
I focused on the referenced versions only).

I plan to use the funambol-sogo-1.0.9.s4j version tomorrow. As I heard, this
might fix syncing issues, but not syncing multiple calendars. Is that right?

 Your Funambol trace shows an exception in Funambol itself, not in any parts
 related to our code.

 While I can understand that two weeks might be long, we provide free support
 through that mailing list and as you've mentioned, we are very busy.

 The next step for us would be to test it in our lab but as you might realize,
 that takes a good amount of time - something we haven't had lately with the
 new release (SOGo v1.3.15 and v2.0RC2).

Concerning time and the new releases that was something I was talking about
with Patrick.

[SOGo] about feature not working

2012-05-22 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

Patrick asked me to try out that new feature addressbooks-in-LDAP. I added the
ouAB setting and also created ou=addressbooks under each user in the DIT.
Unfortunately SOGo uses the wrong DN when trying to add
ou=personal,ou=addressbooks,uid=userfoo,ou=users,...

What it does is:

May 21 09:50:05 res slapd[4906]: conn=1002 op=1 SRCH
base=ou=addressbooks,cn=croessner,ou=users,o=example scope=0 deref=0
filter=(objectClass=*)
May 21 09:50:05 res slapd[4906]: conn=1002 op=2 ADD
dn=ou=addressbooks,cn=croessner,ou=users,o=example
May 21 09:50:05 res slapd[4906]: conn=1003 op=1 ADD
dn=ou=personal,ou=addressbooks,cn=croessner,ou=users,o=example

This is wrong, as there is no user cn=croessner. It would have to be
uid=croessner. So the DN is built incorrectly.

Here is the part from our LDAP-userSource:

sogod domains '{
example = {
SOGoMailDomain = example;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail,
mailAlias
);
UIDFieldName = uid;
ouAB = addressbooks;
baseDN = ou=Users,o=example;
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = cn=sogo,ou=services,o=example;
bindFields = (
mail,
mailAlias,
cn,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword =
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = example;
encryption = ssl;
hostname = somewhere.example.com;
id = directory0;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 636;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
}
);
};
}'

We use: SOGo 2.0.0.20120520-1 on Ubuntu 12.04

Is this configuration okay?

 You forgot to add the IDFieldName parameter, which defaults to cn

well no, I did not define it, as I use bindFields:

IDFieldname doc:
the field that starts a user DN if bindFields is not used. This field must be
unique across the entire SOGo domain

bindFields:
an array of fields to use when doing indirect binds

We use that bindFields and so I did not specify IDFieldname. And we use
bindAsCurrentUser.

[SOGo] bindAsCurrentUser new background to my question

2012-05-22 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I had asked for a problem concerning bindAsCurrentUser here a while ago. Now I
have set up a fresh server and I activated bindAsCurrentUser too, to see if
this bug comes up on a new server as well. But everything works as expected.

Now my question:

When I first installed SOGo for myself, I had a special subtree in my LDAP-DIT:

 ou=sogo,ou=it,dc=roessner,dc=de

wher my user where named

 uid=croessner,ou=sogo,ou=it,dc=roessner,dc=de
 uid=eroessner,ou=sogo,ou=it,dc=roessner,dc=de

We started populating the server with addresses and calendar data, but after
some time I thought by myself that this subtree is duplicate data in my DIT, as
I also have similar objects in

 ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de

Unfortunately the user objects had different relative distinguished names
names. So uid=croessner was called uid=de1 and uid=eroessner was called
uid=de10008.

To not lose all my data, I added uniqueIdentifier to each objects,
uniqueIdentifier=croessner and uniqueIdentifier=eroessner. And then I tried to
use bindAsCurrentUser to have a chance of changing my password as user over the
web interface.

Here is a part of my own uid=de1, which shows the facts above:

dn: uid=de1,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de

ou: Administration
postalCode: 35390
uniqueIdentifier: croessner

So you see that the rdn part croessner moved to uniqueIdentifier in this object
still identifying the same old user.

Now my question: Does SOGo use part of the DN to create the SQL-databases or
handle the session stuff? If so that would explain, why I still can use SOGo
with some global admin LDAP user, but not with bindAsCurrentUser. And if so, is
there a chance to rename the tables that this matches again?

I also have backups created by sogo-tool. Are these data useable to purge all
tables and restore from that backup or are even these backups now corrupted?

I really would be happy for some help here, as I fear of creating all my
contacts and calendar information from scratch

Thanks a lot in advance

Hm, I just found this link:

Re: [SOGo] sieve scripts

2012-05-21 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi Malte,

 I had/have the same problem but currently there is no running SOGo
 installation on my server as I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04.
 So I could not try my dirty little perl script ;) on Ubuntu 12.04 as on
 Ubuntu 10.04 there were problems with GnuStep such that sogo-tool could only
 read a small value of parameter digest such that my huge sieve rules could
 not be passed successfully to SOGoDefaults.

 Maybe you could give my perl script a try. Perhaps you have to adapt some
 transformations as not all sieve commands are implemented yet.
 I guarantee no completeness or bug free functionality, so take care and make
 backups of .GnuStepDefaults and the involved sieve scripts.

that is awesome :-) Thank you very much for this script. I won't find the time
tonight to test it, but sure tomorrow. So I will give you a feedback for 12.04.

Once again thanks a lot.

I am testing SOGoPasswordChangeEnabled on SOGo2. It works, but it stores
passwords in cleartext not in {SSHA}. The OpenLDAP default is {SSHA}, so where
can I tell SOGo to please use SSHA?

Thanks in advance

 To use postgresql, the sope4.9-gdl1-postgresql package needs to be installed.
 But I guess it is... if it wasn't, your sogo installation would not work very
 well.

Yes, SOGo itself is running and the sope-* package is installed :)

 Can you show your config? (OCSSessionsFolderURL parameter)

[SOGo] Global address book with CardDAV?

Hi,

I search the subject with Google and only found a link to the FAQ telling me
that the global address book is a shared resource and therefor only can be
searched over the search box in the WebGUI.

Is there absolutely no way to add the global address book in CardDAV clients?

Hi,

maybe the same as:

https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists/arc/users/2012-04/msg00356.html

 That's your problem.

 You have to execute it as user sogo not root.

 So for minute accuracy, your /etc/cron.d/sogo file must read:
 * * * * *sogo/usr/sbin/sogo-ealarms-notify

 The cron /etc/cron.d /sogo is already executed as user sogo.

 In Webmin -- Scheduled Cron Jobs, i see :

   User
 Active?   Command
 sogo  Yes /usr/sbin/sogo-ealarms-notify

Still not working for me, too

 Do you think there is a relationship with the table sogo-alarms-folder?

 Is it necessary to update the table sogo-alarm-folder when one goes from
 version 1.3.12 to 1.3.14? knowing that I'm switching from version 1.3.13

Is there some bug report already open for it? If somebody would open this bug,

Re: [SOGo] Big trouble with 1.3._14_

2012-04-09 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 try adjusting the variables to suit your needs and run as root. users will
 login with their mail address -- much more logical (imho)

sorry, please do not get me wrong, but believe me, I already checked all my
settings more than once and they are absolutely correct ;-) I am pretty sure
that I discovered a bug in SOGo. Maybe storing DNs wrong, whatever.

My setup is not a simple one server setup. There are central LDAP servers and
PostgreSQL servers and SOGo is just one component here. The structure of LDAP
objects is years old.

I also _can_ use the email address or even parts of the name to login. It is
not necessary to have the user-id filed being the DN name at the same time. So
in my situation, uniqueIdentifier is an unique attribute in all the objects,
which does return exactly _one_ DN for each user.

See here:

sogod SOGoUserSources '(
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = uniqueIdentifier;
baseDN = ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;
bindAsCurrentUser = NO;
bindDN = cn=proxyuser,dc=roessner-net,dc=de;
bindFields = (
mail,
cn,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = *;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Gemeinsame Adressen;
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = ldap0.roessner-net.de db.roessner-net.de;
id = LDAP;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
}
)'

This _should_ work with bindAsCurrentUser. But it uses the wrong DN from a
different user.

Re: [SOGo] Big trouble with 1.3._14_

Hi,

 Does this only happen with the tow users croessners and eroessners? Does this
 happen with users with more different account names, like croessners and
 lskywalker?

I did not explicitly test a third different user yet, but the results from LDAP
already showed the main problem. If you open for example miCal on an iPad, you
can directly see the problem. Normally SOGo should use the proxy user to get
the DN of the user to authenticate, but it directly uses a wrong DN, which it
has stored somewhere else. Maybe memcache.

I do not know the internals of SOGo, how it queries DNs and where and how it
stores them, but there is something wrong.

 Did you compare the LDAP-Data of the two users croessners and eroessners?
 Export it into a LDIF-File per user and diff them.
 Are there similarities in the sogo-data? Export the userprers and -data per
 user and diff them

The user objects are absolutely different. The objects have been extended to be
used with SOGo and it really returns only a single object, if one of
bindFields is used. LDAP logs always show nentries=1

As I disabled bindAsCurrentUser, everything is working perfectly, which also
shows that the data is not the source of the problem. This is an important fact
;)

I will open a ticket on this issue soon.

Thanks

Christian

[SOGo] Big trouble with 1.3.15

2012-04-08 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I spent hours and hours to find a bug in my settings, but I can not find any
and I have a really serious problem:

I have two users here in this example. User croessner and user eroessner. Me -
croessner - has:

Mac OS X iCal 10.7.4 (Dev-Preview) and Thunderbird ESR
iPad 3
iPhone 4S

I have configured CalDAV and CardDAV on all devices. Everything is doing fine
here.

eroessner has:

Microsoft Win 7 with Thunderbird ESR
Android with CalDAV and CardDAV
iPad 2

I figured out that both iPads connect over port 8843 for iCal, while the iPhone
uses 443.

In the moment, where croesner gets all CalDAV stuff set correctly up, all the
sudden all calendars for user eroessner are broken and I see 404 errors in the
logs:

217.227.87.179 - - [08/Apr/2012:17:25:25 +0200] PROPFIND
/SOGo/dav/eroessner/Calendar/ HTTP/1.1 404 835 - iOS/5.1 (9B176)

/SOGo/dav/eroessner/Calendar/ HTTP/1.1 404 42/1925 0.117 - - 0

If I remove all calendars from all devices for eroessner and set them up once
again, it switches: eroessner is fine then, but all stuff is broken for
croessner at this moment.

I have absolutely no idea, where I should look at to find the problem. I am
totally frustrated right now :-(

Is there some help outside please?

Thanks in advance

My feeling tells me that there is something wrong with sessions. I have a

On my buggy server, I have 66 sessions. Can I simply purge that table or would
I loose any data?

Hi,

more information:

 Mac OS X iCal 10.7.4 (Dev-Preview) and Thunderbird ESR
 iPad 3
 iPhone 4S

 I have configured CalDAV and CardDAV on all devices. Everything is doing fine
 here.

 eroessner has:

 Microsoft Win 7 with Thunderbird ESR
 Android with CalDAV and CardDAV
 iPad 2

for some tests, I cleaned the session cache. I stopped memcache, sogod and made
a delete from sogo_sessions_folder; After that I started the services again.
For one moment all devices got 401 codes followed by 207 as expected and I
thought I fixed the problem. Then I simply took one device, in this case the
Thunderbird 10 ESR client on Windows 7 and removed 2 calendar entries. In
exactly this moment all my devices for the other user got 404 messages again.
So I directly opened Safari and logged in with the broken user. And ta ta ta :)
All calendars worked again for this user and the other one is broken again.

So there is really something broken with the sessions but I do not know what.
And why does nobody else have this problem?

Do you have some debugging tipps for me or what could cause problems like this?

Many thanks again for reading (and hopefully helping...)

[SOGo] Web global address book issues

2012-03-30 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I am running SOGo 1.3.14 here. So far everything seems to be working on my
Computer and the mobile devices. Just in the web interface, I have issues with
the global LDAP addressbook:

To show the problem, I have search for my family by typing my last name. The
result shows the list of all members including telephone numbers and email
addresses. When I click on my own record, I get all the information displayed
in the preview window. And the mouse cursor shows a little mail symbol with a
plus sign and a one. If, in turn, I click any of the other records, the preview
window part stays clear and I do not get information. Also the digit shows zero.

First I thought about ACLs in LDAP, but if I enter

ldap://ldap0.***.de -ZZ -xWD uid=de1,ou=people,ou=it,dc=***,dc=de -b
ou=it,dc=***,dc=de (objectClass=calEntry) cn sn givenName mail mobile
displayName street postalCode

I get everything displayed on the terminal.

Do I miss something? :-)

Thanks in advance

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.14

2012-03-25 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

 Just updated from 1.3.11 to 1.3.14 on ubuntu server 10.04 and no change. The
 apt-get command did not seems to find any SOGO updates, just for SOPE - which
 I did. Did I miss something or is the package incomplete ? By the way, SOGo
 still works and the about window still shows 1.3.11 (and yes I cleared my
 cache).

 I did upgrade on a ubuntu server 11.04 without problem.

 Anyone with similar situation ?

I can not confirm this bug. I have updated 2 SOGo-Server Ubuntu 10.04 without
any problems.

Re: [SOGo] [SOLVED] Problem using Funambol

2012-03-13 Thread Christian Rößner
 I did a tcpdump on port 5432 and saw lots of traffic when trying to sync with
 contact field set to sogo-card in the App. But it fails with error 511.

 These are the files I used to try getting Funambol with SOGo together:

 funambol-10.0.3-x64.bin
 funambol-sogo-1.0.8.s4j
 json-simple-1.1.1.jar
 postgresql-9.1-901.jdbc4.jar

ok, this morning I gave Funambol another try. I completely removed
/opt/Funambol and followed the documentation by really using Funambol-v8.7
(maybe a newer version would do the job as well, but now I stay with it).

It did not work as well.

I looked at the postgresql-Log file on the remote server and found the answer
quickly: Funambol connected non-SSL to a SSL-only Postgresql server. I added
the following in funamboladmin to the three handlers sogo-card, sogo-cal and
sogo-todo:

jdbc:postgresql://roessner1.roessner-net.de:5432/sogo?ssl=truesslfactory=org.postgresql.ssl.NonValidatingFactory

and that did the trick.
