I have been looking at Norvins log and I'm not sure I completely understand the
process that occurs when reading in the vmx during an image capture.

Hi Mike,
Sorry I'm not much help in this area, but there might be some traffic
shaping options in vmware esx/esxi or maybe some options in your local
switching gear.
Other than that, I'm sure there are products that can do this.

Check your image grouping and be sure that whatever image you're attempting
to reserve/update is in a group that has access to one or more "computers."
- Manage Images --> Edit Image Grouping (make sure target image is in a
group you're using)
