The new datetime axis support is extremely useful -- thank you.
I've thought of one improvement which would be very handy: an option
to put date labels between the ticks, rather than lined up with them.
This is useful when plotting data with a higher time resolution than
you can show on an axis.
I've been using Veusz to prepare charts for use is Keynote presentations for a
couple of years now, and thought I'd pass on a tip, in case somebody else plans
to do something similar. I realise it's probably something of a minority sport,
but the combination works very well, because Keynote trea
I'm hugely appreciating Veusz, especially the recent improvements in CSV and
datetime handling -- thank you for making this excellent tool available.
I have a couple of feature suggestions:
1. It would be nice to be able to have grid lines behind, rather than in front

Ah... it's obvious now you've pointed it out -

A rather belated follow-up to this:
I may be overlooking something obvious here -- apologies if so.
In Veusz, you can put axes in arbitrary positions using the 'Axis position'
parameter. The value specified here is relative to the extent of the ploting
area -- e.g. for a horizontal axis, 0 places it at the bottom of the graph and

I'm seeing the same thing, on OS X 10.8.2.
Cheers,
Paul.

Yes, that launches fine -- no splash screen -- on OS X 10.8.3

The new version launches fine in both 64- and 32-bit mode

Sorry for the delay. I've just checked: it launches fine.
Cheers,
Paul.

Today I tried for the first time collaborating with somebody else using Veusz
on a different platform, and it didn't go quite as smoothly as I hoped.
When I saved a VSZ file using Veusz 1.17.1 on OS X 10.8.3, it had LF line
endings.
When my colleague tried to open it on Windows (it looks like

Just to be clear: I was *not* volunteering to take over maintaining the Mac
binary distribution. Unfortunately, I don't have any GUI development or

That works for me on OS X 10.8.4, comp

It seems to run fine
Just to confirm: it works on OS X Mavericks (10.9.0). I’ve tested launching,
loading a vsz file, and exporting to PDF.
I did notice that, on first launch, it wouldn’t progress past the splash screen
until I clicked on the Veusz icon in the dock (the issue you fixed in
1.17.1.1). However, on sub
Interesting. You’ve prompted me to do some more testing.
Opening a VSZ file from within Veusz using File->Open, or Open Recent, works
fine. The files the new version saves look absolutely fine.

right-clicking and selecting Open,

Yes, that works perfectly — whether double clicking on a VSZ file in the Fi
