We've had lots of discussion in here about what video format is "best"
to use for videoblogging.
Do we have any real statistics about what people actually ARE using?
Anyone know of a reliable way to figure this out?

In general, I'd have to say it's overwhelmingly Quicktime mpeg4 of some kind. I have 78 feeds in FireAnt and 74 of them are QuickTime. It used to be 73 and then Carl Weaver started using QuickTime. I didn't specifically look for QuickTime only - though if people provide a choice (like 3D Roger)

Alot of folks have been complaining
about the sound on my vlogs. I've done all sorts of things to improve it, but to
no avail.
Jay Madore suggested a shotgun
microphone. A few questions about that:
My camera is a a Panasonic PVGS39. You
have to plug the microphone in the front

There is no such thing as "non-skippable". The Internet will always
find ways of routing around "problems". I'm sure someone will come up
with a re-streamer that will offer the same thing sans commercials. Sure,

they already do offer that on itunes, I think making freedownloads of shows with commercials makes sense, but the concept that people would skip over commercials also makes sense...so i guess this is the way they ensure most viewers see the ads
