I'm still a bit new here but I have a 2-part question.
I was having a hard time embedding youtube videos into my wordpress
blog, sometimes they would be there and somedays not. Thanks to this
forum I was led over to Blip.tv where the embedd always work.
Can someone explain to me why you would
I'll answer the other question. Viewers have all kinds of computers,
old, new and bleeding edge. We also now have a generation of people
viewing on media player devices that will accept one particular
format, IPod = MP4 Zune = WVM.
Mac Folk can't view WMV's without a third party application like

Can someone help me understand about Media RSS?
I know that Yahoo has created a spec.
How can I create a Media RSS feed with all that cool metadata?
Does Feedburner support Media RSS?

MediaRSS does have tons of cool metadata. It lets you specify multiple
versions of a video (maybe WMV, MOV, m4v and 3gp) while including nifty
data like links to thumbnails and keyframes. It's very, very sweet and
everyone and their brother should support it by publishing it and
reading it.
Did Arin ever figure out how to media manage the FCP project so he could post

Good question jay,
Does anyone know if Moveabletype, blogger, or Wordpress support
mediaRSS? Has anyone created a plugin perhaps for MT or Wordpress?
I've realized one of the primary issues with the mediaRSS spec is that
when you're righting a post there's no quick markup to specify
metadata IN
We currently use rel=enclosure in cross-posts, but we don't and can't
use rel=thumbnail because (afaik) images in XHTML don't have a rel
attribute. I'd be very hesitant to use something like class=thumbnail
because of potentially conflicting CSS on remote sites (we prefix class
names in

Creating customized feeds of this sort is still rather difficult for
non-programmers since its custom functionality that blogging tools
just don't come with straight out of the box.
It could probably be implemented with a plugin for Wordpress,
MovableType, or Drupal (perhaps such plugins exist?)
First off, I think whatever email client you're using is marking
everything as *SPAM* in the subject line. Very detrimental to
conversation. :)

Personally, I think Sony got the PSP aggregation wrong.
They needed an automatic podcatcher. None of this downloading and

You have to be able to automatically cache the videos without any attention.
You shouldn't have to download or browse heavily on the

Exactly--everything she said and I would add that often people publish

require a specific file format and specs. Most portable devices can't
