I have just finished renaming the 578 pages we agreed, and fixing the
associated VimTip redirect pages.
There was only one problem: I didn't notice that tip 1440 was renamed
yesterday, so when my script went to rename it, the script renamed the
redirect from yesterday.
For the record, here is the

(probably useless) redirection pages, or should we delete them?

Maybe, but there will be a day on which the link works
Seems to me that a good solution would be to keep a redirect around for a
limited amount of time before cleaning it up. That way people who have the
tip bookmarked or whatever have at least some chance to update.

My script is ready for testing and I could start the renaming in

I have a big question before moving the 578 tip pages.
Using normal procedures, the result of renaming a tip is:
- A new page with new title and old contents is created.
- The old page becomes a redirec

Good point - I see the Vim docs consistently say "color scheme".
I think you'll like 178 below. I'm also inserting a space in
'colorscheme' in 358 which is the only other tit

Thanks Santhalus. Let's deal with the easy ones:
OK 28 Insert line numbers
OK 35 Translate between single line and block comments
OK 81 Substitute characters and lines easily
OK 97 Insert current date or time
OK 104 Capture SQL

I don't have a firm view. My thinking is:
- Omit noise words where reasonable.
- Put point of tip close to beginning of title.

After an enormous amount of pain, I have devised a list of 578 tips to be
renamed. Another list shows 653 tips with titles that do not need to be
