I replaced master cylinders in both my standard bugs with the German-
made ones available from California Imports. Both failed within a year.
My next attempt was to use the Brazilian-made ones - both still going
strong after three years.

pan out of my '70 because of frame head corrosion.
I did find a good '72 complete pan with front beam and transaxle, a
full rolling pan for a song which I be picking up sometime next month.

ago from Aircooled.net as well as a disc brake conversion kit.
Both are performing admirably in a '74 standard daily driver my
daughter depends on for work.

The front shocks have a metal sleeve inside the rubber bushing on the
bottom that slips over the mount on the front beam. When removing the
old shocks the rubber separated from the metal
About a year ago I tried to find tires for my daughter's '74 standard
daily driver. It was then I found out that the major tire
manufacturers no longer make the size to fit our air-cooled Bugs. A
recommendation from the list for 165/80-R15s took me to TireRack where
