Thanks everyone for your tips on down grading to the previous version of
Foursquare. Its not possible to do the down grade on this computer however,
I do have a friend who has the previous version of Foursquare so I will
remove it from my phone and do the down grade from my friends computer.

Hi Reese, unless you and your friend are using the same Apple ID, this
won't work because each app; downloaded is tied to a specific Apple ID.
Just thought you should know.

Thanks for pointing this out to me. Guess I'll just have to live with this
update until the next one comes along.

Andy:
I'm definitely not a fan of the new update. If anyone has any idea how I
can down grade to the previous version of foursquare, I would appreciate it.
Its almost to the point of being inaccessible to me. Thanks!

Jailbreaking is not necessary to downgrade an app. However, iTunes, a computer,
and a previous version of the app residing on the computer are necessary for
downgrading an app. If you do not have all of the three listed above, you will
not be able to downgrade the app, even if you have
One more thing to add to the below excellent post is that if you happen to be
jailbroken, there is a tweak called update Hider which can be used to hide
updates from individual apps. When this tweak is used and individual apps are
hidden from updates, then you can use the update all feature
for newbies, cant you just refuse the upgrade. karen

For those who updated 4square. What do you think of the new layout? I was in a
restaurant this evening, and the app said that I was still in a place two
blocks away that i had left an hour before. To get it to see where I was, I had
to actually type the name of the place in the search box.
